I will be on a trip to WDW in about 2 months with 2 big Star Wars fans. We have one day planned for us to do DHS in the morning and then EP in the evening before heading to MK to watch Wishes and finish up since they are open until midnight. (This will be our last of only 2 days in the parks.) I would like to know if it is worth it to go back to DHS to watch the new Star Wars fireworks instead of watching Wishes. Giving up watching Wishes on my last night might be tough since it's a long standing tradition but I can deal with it if the new show is worth it. Any advice is appreciated. TIA!

I don't know if this will help you or not, but ...you can clearly see the high Star Wars fireworks from Epcot ( I stood near the Norway Pavillion). You don't get the audio...which I understand is amazing with the fireworks....but you do get to experience them and they were great. Then you could head over to MK and still see Wishes if the timing works out for that night.

Another vote for the Star Wars fireworks. They were so, so good. Better than Wishes, IMO. We ended up skipping Wishes entirely by the time our MK day rolled around, as we'd seen the Star Wars fireworks a couple days prior and didn't feel like anything could top them! For my own sentimental reasons, I'm unable to skip MSEP though, so I can totally understand that people may prefer to see a fireworks show like Wishes for reasons other than technical spectacular-ness!

IMHO the Star Wars fireworks are the best on property!
I love Wishes but was blown away by the Star Wars fireworks, as was my entire family. The only shows that have beat it for us are the NYE shows. We watched it 3 times on our January trip, one of those from our resort (CBR). It really is not the same without the music.

Star Wars fireworks are at 8pm...what time is wishes the night you are going?

We were there for the opening day of the SW fireworks...and then went back 2 days later to watch them again and skipped Wishes. I honestly think the SW fireworks are better!

We just saw the Star Wars show last weekend - it literally took our breath away. You are much closer to the fireworks at DHS than any of the other parks, and you can actually feel them go off, especially at the end. It was one of hte most intense things I have seen at Disney in a long time (in a good way). Wishes was spectacular, as was Reflections of Earth the first time I saw them, but after having seen both a number of times, the DHS was just amazing. And yes, the music adds a lot to the show. It doesn't play through multiple areas of the park at DHS like it does at the other parks, so you kind of have to be near the stage area near Echo Lake to experience it fully.

I also agree that the star wars fireworks are the best nightly show I've seen at disney. We loved them. We watched them from the cross roads kiosk near the exit in the middle of the main street and I agree with the PP we felt the fireworks hitting our chests and it was awesome.

Ok Robo, and I know that you probably have done this already, but show us the best places to watch the fireworks at HS. Thanks again

Star Wars, camp out on the Starbucks terrace (with coffee and a Chewbacca cupcake) about 30 minutes early and you'll get a great view.

We saw the Star Wars fireworks last night. They were AMAZING!!!! My husband shed a tear or two, lol.

Wishes is at 10pm that night but I was assuming that the Star Wars fireworks will be pushed back by the time we go in March because time will have changed already and it won't be dark until later. I figured they'd probably start around 9pm. Watching the fireworks and getting out and back to MK by 10pm seemed like it would be too difficult. Two sets of fireworks would probably be too much for the people in my party to handle. I could never get tired of them but I realize that I am not the norm.

I will be amongst multiple coffee lovers. This sounds like a great idea! The extra hit of caffeine will help to get us through midnight in the MK after the fireworks. It's our last night out of 3 with completely full days and managing 31 high school seniors!! We will need that extra perk for sure! Luckily, the seniors will be off on their own and I don't have to keep up with them through the day, otherwise we might have to drink buckets of coffee! :)

Thanks everyone for the great advice! You've definitely made up my mind. We will definitely do the Star Wars fireworks! :darth: :chewy:
