Has anyone done this? Is it worth the $70 pp? I read the last day was in March but just found dates available in April when we're visiting. Thanks in advance!!

I don't have the answer to your question, but I am also going this month and saw this it was available, so I signed up for it. It does seem a little pricey, but what isn't pricey at WDW? my hubby and I are doing the Dark Side 5k, so I just thought this would be a nice add on.

We did it once with desert party and once without. The once without we were 5 feet to the left.

It's not the best location for the fireworks and a little overpriced. But you do get a free chewy mug (or we did back then).

Sadly, there were no seats which frustrated me. The deserts were okay, but overall, I didn't think it was worth it. If they had chairs....

We did the party and enjoyed it. We did get the Chewbacca mugs but they are a little scary lol. I liked the fruit and cheese and of course the alcoholic beverages. It was nice having space to watch with no obstructed view. Didn't like having to stand up. They had a station that quick froze Nutella which was pretty cool. The other desserts were pretty similar to other dessert events we attended and meh in quality. Would I repeat? Maybe. We park hopped to HS just to see the fireworks so it was nice having a guaranteed spot. If we were going to do the same thing - yea I would reserve the party. I won't be taking home any more chewbacca mugs though lol. A fun thing we did was run to ToT after fireworks and just barely made it in before they shut the gates. Cool being last people on the ride.

Have done it and loved it.
So much I'm going it again next week.
We've done every dessert party Disney has had the past 5 years and this is the best, hands down, no contest. Best food. Best drinks. Best location. Best everything.

DH and I will be there last week in August. Looking for different things to do..... do we sign up thru Disney Dining ?

I made a reservation as soon as I heard ROL was delayed. Question: does it make sense for me to go if I am traveling alone with my 8 year old. I'm thinking the table may be too high for her? Could I leave her at the table and go get us more desserts/drinks if needed? Or is it too crowded to keep an eye on her? I'm thinking the logistics of this might not work for us. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm going next week. If it is like the Frozen one they will have a mix of short and tall tables. Definitely not too crowded to keep and eye and when we did the Frozen one everyone was pretty nice and stood behind all the kids so that they had unobstructed views.

Thanks so much for the advice!

Yes, they do have a mix of tables and it's contained to the point that she'd be fine. I wouldn't hesitate to leave DGD8 at the table while I got food.

We did it and enjoyed it! Review is in my trip report.

For the current fireworks show, it isn't necessary. But I think it would be advantageous once the new fireworks start, assuming they keep the dessert party.

Thank you! We will do it!

I realllly wish they would open up May. I know they are switching over to the new show at some point. My DH couldn't come in Jan when we saw the current show; so I'm hoping that there's at least some SW fireworks the first week in May.

We did the dessert party last week - I personally love it. Unfortunately we weren't all that hungry but that's my own fault. Whether or not it's worth it is a personal thing - for us yes to be out of the craziness of the crowds. The food is better than the Wishes dessert party but not quite as good as the Wishes Cruise. My son is a picky eater and doesn't eat anything at the parties and for me it's still worth it for the experience. The view was awesome!

I now have 6 Chewie mugs lol - it would be nice to opt out and save a few bucks on the price.

I'm excited about this now! I wasn't really sure when I booked it, partly because I wasn't really sure what all was involved. But reading these comments has me thinking I will really enjoy it.
