SWW and queing up before rope drop?

For those that went to SWW last weekend, how does it work on EMH? I believe that you line up outside the entrance for the various events and are let in at 9am. If you go on a EMH day, you have to choose between lining up outside our using your EMH hour? Can someone shed some light?

I'm still working on a Full SWW Trip Report - but I can tell you that Friday morning was a MAD HOUSE!

I do not think they had everything planned out for the first day of SWW with EMH. To their credit, they did appear to try - but they did not account for people getting into the park early. EMH Guests were basically told that EMH did NOT give them privileges for the Special SWW Event. (And there were some PRETTY Unhappy Guests Friday morning when told this!)

They attempted to have 4 different lines to the right of the regular lines. There were 3 Autograph Lines - Kenny Baker, Bonnie Piesse, and Jay Laga'aia. Apparently there was also a "Merchandise" line. (I say apparently b/c I missed that line - Along with 100 or so other EMH guests that waited by the Jabba Shop and had to get at the End of the Merchandise line that had been waiting outside the gate at 9:00 when the park opened!)

But, basically, if you want an Autograph, you need to be there early - probably around 7ish or earlier. You also have to Pick ONE line to get in to get your Fastpass for that Actor/Actress. Or, you had to pick the Merchandise line and miss out on the Fastpasses for the Autographs.

And it is true, EMH will get you NO SPECIAL TREATMENT for SWW. You can either enter at 8am for EMH, or select whatever SWW line you want to be in.

LOL - I totally believe there was, I just didn't see it! And since all I wanted was a couple pins, I did NOT wait on Friday - I waited and came back Saturday about 10:30 and had NO wait - and the only thing sold out at that time was the LE 100 Framed Pin Set!

Actually, as of 11:00 am Sunday, the only 3 things that had sold out were the LE 100 Frame Set and the 2 LE 1000 pins from Week 1 - Leia & C3PO/R2.

we queued up around 7 for kenny baker. but they didnt even let the line in until 9. even though 8 was EMH time. so everyone else got to walk in and those in line had to wait until 9. Autographs and merch line.

nothing SWW related could be done before 9 am anyway. i got in like 8:20 (forgot it was EMH) and went right to Jedi Mickey and waited til 9

With emh can we get there at 8:00am and go and sign up DD & DS for the jedi training and parade or do we have to wait until 9:00am to do this?Is there a separate line to wait outside to do this,or do we go into the park to the SWW info near sounds dangerous?Thanks for the help,first time going to SWW and trying to figure out our plans for the day!

No signing up for the Parade either. We were told that it was kids chosen at Random this year due to being part of the Year of a Million Dreams. Supposedly, there were CMs in "Red shirts" who chose who gets in the Parade.

Kids could sign up for the Trivia - but not until 9:00 am at an information booth right across from Sounds Dangerous - Where Jedi Mickey was.

I arrived just before 8:00 on Saturday for Kenny Baker. I was getting an autograph for a friend, and she urged me to be there by 7:30, but I thought the on-going tropical storm would keep the crowds down. I was wrong. I ended up only getting stand-by (albeit a low number, #5, so I was able to get an autograph).

By 8:15, there were dozens behind me, so keep that in mind. They didn't cut the line off at any point, even though it must have become apparent long before 9:00 that a lot of people on the end were getting nowhere near R2D2. If you really want one of the A-lister's autographs, I would get there no later than 7:30.
