Switching Villas during the Same Stay

My wife and I are heading to BWV in a few days, and during this trip we're spending part of the time in a studio and part in a one bedroom. Whenever we've been to WDW before, we've always stayed in the same room and never had to think about the mechanics of switching. I'm certain that there are a number of threads asking this question, but for the life of me I couldn't think of good terms to search for.

So, I guess my question is what exactly we need to do to make the switch? Do we haul all of our luggage down to the check-in area to do the change, or can we have bell services take care of that? Any advice on making the transition as smooth as possible?

Thanks in advance.

I would first go down to the front desk and check into the new room - just to see if it is available. If it is, call bell services and have them move the luggage, or you could move it yourself.

If your new room is not ready (most likely), then call bell services and ask them to hold the luggage until your new room is ready. Go out and enjoy your day. When you come back, you should be able to call and get your new room number. Once again, call Bell Services and they will deliver it all for you.

Just remember, they should be tipped for each trip.

Thanks for the response. I figured it would be simple, but we tend to suffer from pre-vacation planning paranoia.

I actually did this last June. We moved from an AKV Studio to AKV concierge pool view to AKV concierge savannah view, 3 days in a row! Each time our new room was not ready so we took our luggage to the bell desk for storage, then picked it up later.
