Hi everybody!

I'm newish to this sub-forum, but I guess I'm going to spend more time here. I've been lurking here off and on for a while. For years, starting around 2006, DH and I camped at FW with our sketchy 2003 Four Winds Majestic 28A, but it got very unreliable around 2017/2018 so we've been staying in Disney hotels since. And oh my goodness do we miss FW.

Anyway, we bought a new-to-us travel trailer yesterday - a 2018 Jay Flight SLX 267BHS. Did I mention we needed a bunkhouse (DS11 & DD9 & 2 tiny furbabies)? Oh man, I'm in love.

So I immediately started switching up the reservations this morning. Forget Boardwalk! Yay Fort Wilderness.

Anyway, before I pull the trigger on new reservations, can anyone tell me about Premium Meadow sites? It seems like that's all that's left for our vacation week. We used to always stay at Preferred. Usually ended up in pet friendly loop 300. Which Premium Meadow loops are pet friendly?

It's been a few years, anything new at FW to enjoy?

Mostly, I'm just hoping for a welcome back to RVing.

And, any tips on how to convince DH to finally build me a Mickey lamp post?

All loops are now pet friendly. Meadows Premium was created last year they are the sites nearest the pool and Meadows. They are the most expensive of the sites. Up until last year they were just part of the premium sites.
And welcome back to the camping forum.

We have a couple Dismeets planned for the summer. If you can make any of those, we'd be more than happy to convince/talk hubby into such things.

And I bet he doesn't have one of the wooden Musket Mickey signs. Every Fort camper should have one.

Then if you want to go FULL DIS Camping with both feet, you make the green DIS sign.

And yes, as tigger92662 mentioned, we have a few DISMeets occurring this spring/summer, the main one being in Pigeon Forge in early June <nice family destination, hint hint>.

You get the full welcome treatment too: :welcome: to the DIS Camping Forum :disrocks: and back to the Fort.

PS - as for the lamp post, you have to get DH to the DISMeet or the Fort when one of us are there with ours and we would say "whaddaya mean you don't HAVE a lamp post yet?".

Whelp, just an update here.

We're confirmed. My Dreams Unlimited travel agent updated the reservation - spring break will be at Fort Wilderness in a Premium Meadow loop. Saving about $1500 on the Disney leg of the trip, pretty happy about that. And saving another $1100 on the Tampa/St. Pete leg of the trip as well. Yes, I'm doing the happy dance.

Now I have to get back to work on outfitting the new rig. Less than 60 days to go. Digging our old gear out of storage and buying new stuff as needed - mattress (oh man that Jayco short queen is bad), new linens, etc. That extra $2600 is going to be useful.

Also hunting for new Disney-themed string lights for the awning....
