Switching Riders with FP+

Thanks for the replies. I know everyone doesn't agree with the practice, but it works for us. We go in the summer when crowds are high because they can't be pulled out of school. If we didn't do this, my kids would ride a ride once. For what we pay, it wouldn't be worth it going if they couldn't.

Like someone else said, we've also given our FP away to total strangers. On our last trip, we had 4 FPs for Soarin'. The kids went and didn't want to go again. We saw that the kiosks were closed for the day and the wait was 2 hours, and then we saw a couple of girls walk up and the disappointed faces they had when they saw they wouldn't be able to ride. We gave them our FPs so they could get on. Their happy faces and gratitude made my day that much better.

That is assuming they have a smart phone and don't have to wait for a kiosk and the app actually works! What if they realize they aren't going to make it 5 minutes before the end of their FP+ time, once the time is expired, so is the opportunity- it's not like it goes back into the pot to be used at a later time.

You can't cancel one but you can rebook unused ones. . so if you miss your FP time or someone decides not to ride you can reschedule the FP even after the time. The only time you can't change it, is during the ride time window. When the window expires, you can adjust.

We used all different people's tickets in our group of for FP and CM never cared.. . Yes a name comes up but they really just check 1 person has 1 FP+. My mom is a senior so at first I booked them all together but she wasn't riding Thunder Mountain so I used the FP+ later and rebooked 1 FP+ for Pooh that we could take my under 3 year old on.
