We are planning our vacation for september for 8 nights. My husband wants to stay at the WL but it is not within our budget to do this for all 8 nights. We where thinking of spending 4 nights at a value resort and switching over to the WL for the last 4 nights. For those of you that have switched resorts how difficult is the check in/out process and the transporting of luggage, and is it worth it to do this?

We always switch around resorts because we like the different areas to stay as well as the different pools. It is really easy to change resorts. Just check out in the AM from one resort and let them know that you are moving to another resort and they will transport your luggage for you. You can then check into your new resort either later in the morning or afternoon and your luggage will be delivered to your room. Usually our luggage arrived within an hour of our arrival to our new room.

Last December I stayed 2 nights at Pop before transferring over to CSR. It was no problem at all and well worth it !!!!
I took a cab from Pop first thing in the morning ($10 plus tip) and just checked my luggage with bell services and went to the parks for the day. When I returned my luggage was in my room ready to go!!! You can also let luggage services transfer your luggage if you would like but I wanted to cheeck in myself early to get room request so I just took it with me! It was like having 2 vacations with 2 resorts to explore. Just make sure you do the value first as I would have a hard time going from mod to value.. :goodvibes
