Switching resorts after final payment...with discount?

We are as of right now staying at the animal Kingdom Lodge from November 6-11. We booked with the room discount code and have since made our final payment. I kept checking back before that to see if anything opened up in the Epcot area resorts because we’ve always wanted to stay at one of them, especially since my little one would LOVE storm along bay. There was no availability then, but there seems to be openings every day now when I check. However the dates for booking with the room discount has expired and it wouldn’t let me book a new reservation with that discount either.

If there is an opening, and I called to switch hotels, (the website says I now have to call to make changes) does anyone know if they still let you apply the room discount since I already booked with a room discount as long as that type room was available? If we don’t get the room discount I wouldn’t switch. Thanks!!!

No. Because the new room is not able to be booked under the discount because the book by date is gone.
