Switching placeholder question

Currently have a May 2026 cruise booked with a placeholder, but are planning instead to cancel and use the placeholder towards a March 2027 cruise when they are released. Is it easier to keep the May cruise and simply transfer the booking to the new cruise, or cancel outright and book net new once the March 2027 itineraries come online?

No, you do not want to "cancel" the placeholder booking. You want to "modify" it by transferring it directly to the new cruise. That said, is the new cruise still within the 24 use by date on the placeholder?

If you cancel you lose the placeholder.
