Switching out guests mid-visit

We have the same scenario this trip, but I listed all guests on the reservation since we don’t exceed occupancy. I suspect you’d have to have separate reservations if total number of guests exceeds occupancy.

I’m wondering if it will be a problem requesting extra linens mid-stay. We’ve asked for extra towels many times, but never sheets.

We were just there a few weeks ago staying on our points. I called housekeeping one morning and requested new sheets for one of the beds. Housekeeping was at the door not 10 minutes later handing over the sheets. No questions asked - well except which size bed we needed them for.

It's Disney. They have so many kids there I don't think they would blink an eye at a request for new sheets if you just need them for one or two beds. I just did a swap at the door. I didn't ask housekeeping to actually put them on for me.

You might try emailing the info to DVC and see if they might split the reservation for you so you can get everyone set up. They may not but worth a try. If they did it would leave a slight chance of changing rooms but if you verify at check in about staying in the same room it's pretty unlikely you'd have to change.
Actually we looked into that but because we are at Old Key West Near the Hospitality House we had no chance of keeping that reservation by the time everyone got their plans straight. So someone just has to take a chance or deal with Uber / Lyft. It's a pain but I'd rather keep my same room the whole time.
