Does Kraken and Wild Arctic offer any sort of parent swap like Disney? DD will not be quite tall enough.

yes they do. Also, Wild Arctic has a walk through portion that is exactly like the motion simulator, but it doesn't move. After wild arctic, you have the walk through to see the beluga whales, polar bears and walruses.

It's been a while since I've done any sort of switching off - do you just mention you would like to do it to the staff at the attraction?

At the entrance of the line there is an employee. You just let them know that you are doing a child swap and they will let the person that is waiting with the child go through to the exit where you will wait until the other part of you party gets off.
