Switching magic and question?

I have a question about magic bands and rides. If we buy genie plus, can we switch bands?

We will be a party of 6 and 3 of us like thrill rides and 3 don’t. So can 3 ride the ride and then we switch bands and they ride again?

Is this breaking some rule? Or is this OK? Thanks in advance.

It’s probably not totally OK, but we’ve done it. Specifically, we travel as two families with young kids. Sometimes the kids say “I might want to try this” and we’ll book the whole party. Then the kids decide they actually aren’t ready, so parents’ take the kids’ bands and ride again. I figure we’ve paid for X number of bands, and we’re using X number of bands, so it shouldn’t really be an issue.

Disney does not permit guests to use bands that belong to other guests. Exchanging bands is not permitted.

The other 3 guests may wish to book a different attraction that interests them..

I’m not trying to break rules, that’s why I’m asking. I mean if I have to pay for 5 genie plus of something, does it matter who rides? That’s why I’m asking

I already provided the answer. Sharing MagicBands is NOT permitted

I’ve done it before as well, back in the FP+ era. They don’t check to see if it’s the right person at LL entrances, unless it’s a DAS return time.
