We are going to be staying on site at WDW for 14 nights in June of 2006. We know that we want to stay at the AKL with Savannah view for at least a few nights. We have considered staying at a lower priced resort for part of our visit (ASM, POP, or something similar). We were wondering how much of a hassle it is to switch in the middle of the stay. We have two young children (ages 2 and 5 at the time) and need to factor that in, along with the fact that they typically nap between 1-3 in the afternoon when I assume we would be without a room on the day that we switch. Thanks for all your advice and suggestions!

You can do two things - ask for a late check out and/or ask for an early check-in at your second resort.

You might not be able to get either, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Disney will transfer your luggage as long as you notify them 24 hours in advance. Then, you just have to get to the resort which isn't hard using the busses.

The nap thing might be a problem, but everything else seems to go pretty smoothly.
