Switching from Swan to Pofq

We've done a resort switch before from Disney to Disney properties. We left our luggage in our room and it was transported by bell services to our new resort and was brought to our room when we checked in. Is this how it works if you switch from Swan or Dolphin to a Disney resort. We are thinking about trying the Swan and then switching to POFQ. Just wondered how difficult it would be.
