Switching from studio to 1 bedroom, how?

For our upcoming trip (leave Sunday, woo-hoo! ) we will be staying in a studio one night then switching to a 1 bedroom for the rest of the vacation. Since we plan on hitting a park that first day, what do we do with our luggage and such? Will we need to check in twice?

You will need to check out and in again. Your luggage can be left at bell services and will be moved by them to your new room.

When we've done this, I usually go down to the front desk to check out and back in at check out time. Dh usually hangs out in the room long enough for me to see if a room is ready. On occasion, I've been able to get my new room # right away and we've taken our luggage to the new room right away without bell services. Otherwise, we just call bell services as already suggested.
