One week out from our vacation :banana:and my hubby wants to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel over RPH club level. A few months ago I booked HRH when we first Started planning the trip. After I did some research and decided to get an AP for the discounts I also booked RPH Club Level for only $45 more dollars total for the two nights.

I just assumed that's were we were going to stay. Did tons of research and thought I was all set. Now hubby really wants the HRH so I just called and cancelled the club level room:( Hope we are not disappointed with that decision. I make all the Disney plans so I guess I should let him decide where to stay on our first Universal stay:sad1:

so are you saying 8 days out from your trip you cancelled rph but you didn't book hrh?

i think she might have had both booked and just cancelled the one. :confused3

A little over 6 months ago I booked HRH. Then 2 months later I booked RPH. So I had two ressies at the same time. Crazy, I know. But I didn't cancel the Hard Rock because I thought that might happen. So I cancelled Royal Pacific this morning:sad1:.

I hope I don't regret not staying club level. But at the hard rock its $180 more for the 2 nights:scared1:

whew....

i thought you cancelled the hrh.

good thing you didn't with only a week out to your vacation.

i have stayed at all the hotels.
hrh over 22 different stays.
i enjoyed it for the time i did stay there, but rph has won me over.

i think rph has more of a peaceful relaxing atmosphere for what i want on a long hotel stay.

i wouldn't pay the $90 more per night for hrh, but then, it is your trip and your Mr. wants to stay there.
go along with the new plans and just enjoy yourselves.

so, this time you stay at hrh, next time try rph club.
they do have a fabulous club room and offerings.

the hrh club lounge is small and offerings are more basic.

the rooms are larger at hrh than at rph.

check out the other 2 hotels in your free time when you are onsite.

you can pool hop so that's a good reason to check out the lobbies and get a look at one of the guest rooms.

90 dollars more per night just for a pool view? I would have stayed RPR club and we don't do club.

No...If I wanted to do club level at HRH it would be $90 more per night than what I'm currently paying for pool view at HRH. Right now I'm paying $269/night for poolview. For a total of $605.

mcraven, You are right. Next time we are definitely staying club level at Royal Pacific. It will be a longer trip next time anyway. This time we are staying just 2 nights at Universal and then onto Beach Club for 6 nights. I definitely think for longer stays we would enjoy RPH club level.

I'm sure we will appreciate the extra room at HRH this time. Which leads me to my next few questions...

1. Will we be able to comfortably fit a twin size blow up mattress in the room at the HRH? We are a family of five.

2. Do they supply you with the small shampoos, conditioners and body wash like they do at Disney? And are they any good? I'm in official packing mode now! Exactly one week we will be boarding our flight down!!!!!!

You'll be able to fit a twin on the floor ( or they do have a deluxe queen room that has a fold out couch ) and yes they supply the bathrooms with small shampoos, conditioners, body wash...you can ask for more and they are very accommodating.

We actually had a twin size mattress at RPR and it fit nicely in between the 2nd bed and window. We just stood it up on it's end when we weren't using it. I know you were asking about HRH but I just wanted to let you know for when you stay at RPR that it works nicely there too!

yes to what everyone else said...:thumbsup2

use the sta® service button on the phone in the room.

anything you need that you forgot, or you need more towels, shampoo, etc, they will contact hskp.
your requested items will be delivered shortly.

it's all free.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'm starting to feel much better about having to switch hotels:):flower3:
