Switching from deluxe into a value on extended hours night?

I have searched for this question and have gotten mixed answers.
So we want to go to MK extended hours if they still have them in June.
If we check out of a deluxe and into a value that day I’m afraid we will not be let into extended hours.
I have read we are eligible on check out day, but have also read the value resort may override the deluxe.
My question is has anyone done this and had any problems?

I have done this. (deluxe to mod) I'll be doing it again next week. I didn't have any issues the first time and hope for the same again! I had checked into all resorts online long before the trip and had luggage transferred, but had not physically entered the room at the mod. Not sure if any of that matters.

ETA- I can not remember how we got back to CBR after hours. We didn't use Uber at all on that trip (November, so I should remember, but we switched resorts and hopped a lot and I'm drawing a blank ), so there must have been transportation. Hopefully someone else has experience and a better memory.

That’s good to hear. I wonder if it matters if you enter the room to the second resort. Hopefully more will post their experience.

I did solve my transportation mystery. Riviera's deluxe villas are included , so there was a way back to CBR. Not sure how it would work for any other resorts.

Okay. We are staying at Pop so we may have a problem.

If you have a car, just drive that day. Long way to do this on Disney transportation is to go to another resort, then Disney Springs, then to Pop. But honestly, I’d walk to CR and grab a rideshare to Pop.

I don't know about this specifically but know that the dining plan lasts through checkout day till midnight. People who reported problems getting to use their credits after checking into the new resort that had no dining plan on the reservation said they just had to ask to speak to a manager to get it fixed.

Asking before leaving the Deluxe resort would be wise. They're more likely to have CMs who know and can fix it for you right there or will tell you it's not an issue.

We aren’t renting a car. I would say going to Disney spring then to Pop would take a long time.
I would take a bus to Riveria then skyliner to Pop, but doubt the skyliner would be running.

I would screenshot your reservation stay so if there’s a problem you can show them you checked out that day and should get those perks through midnight

We are looking to resort hop on a trip later this year so I called Disney about this and what happens if you're in a deluxe for just one night. I was told that access to extended hours was on both the day you check in and the next day (checkout).
So we plan to use the extended hours on the check out day so we can enjoy the resort more.

I don’t think you can walk from Riviera to Pop.
