I bought two resales with deeds received two weeks apart. The second contract included banked points from 2020. If I book a trip now with normal points, can I switch it to banked points when the second contract finally gets loaded?

If they will be part of the same membership, then yes, as long as it follows the home resort rules,

If it’s the same resort you will be booking, no issues. If it is a different resort, then it has to be a trip booking 7 months or less.

Same resort, non-home resort, so once the banked points load, the reservation “automatically” uses those points first?

No, it doesn't know you want to use those points first and isn't using that contract at all. You just "modify" and then change nothing but the contract you are pulling from. It doesn't show in that screen what is borrowed/banked either. You have to keep track of it or pull it from the website BEFORE you get to that screen.

Nothing is ever automatic when it comes to moving points around. So, once they load, modify your current trip, don’t change a thing, and choose the new contract in addition to the original one. Then book it again. They system will now pick up the banked points.

You will get a notice on the screen right before booking that makes it seem like it won’t take them, but it does,

The only piece that I forgot about is that if you are within 31 days of the trip, then it won’t work because any freed up points that get replaced with the banked points will go into holding.

If the trip is father away, then no issues.

One final: points on my first contract just loaded but it’s 10 points short, so I would have to borrow from April 2022. If I then switch it to the new contract points, what happens to the 10 borrowed points?

They stay in your April 2021 UY. Borrowing is a final transaction.

If you switch to the new contract (Contract B) after it loads, the points will be taken in the following order:
•Holding (first Contract A, then B)
•Banked (first Contract A, then B)
•Borrowed (first Contract A, then B)
•Transferred
•Annual Allotment (first Contract A, then B)
Going by that order, any banked points from Contract A and B would be taken first. Then the borrowed points from Contract A would be taken before any current allotment of points from either contract.
