Switching days

I made a stupid mistake... yesterday my FP window opened and I got up at 6:45 to be ready to go. We are not Disney newbies... we are doing a super quick 4 day park hopper January 1-4... I accidentally switched 2 of my park days. I had originally planned AK on Saturday as it had EMH in the am, that way we could get to FOP if need be. I made all my reservations on Friday, and did not get a FP for FOP... so I figured no big deal we will RP and go there first during the EMH. Booked Safari, Navi River and Lion King (I will not ride Everest ) I then booked my HS on Saturday (accidentally). I was able to get a good SDD. Am I correct in saying that the ONLY way to even look at what I available to even switch is to cancel my Friday and Saturday FP and rebook, meaning I will most likely not get times that I want?

It was not until today that I realized my mistake. Maybe I should just live with it, and realize I am not really out much... we will still RD and ride FOP (we have ridden it at least 4 times over the past years, so I know what the ride is like)

No, that’s not correct.

The FP FAQ ADDENDUM STICKY has the steps for checking availability in another park without needing to cancel what you’re holding.

Thank you. I am looking into that now, but I keep getting "Daily FastPass+ Limit reached" and I would have to remove guests from my party... I am going to keep trying.

No, that’s not correct.

The FP FAQ ADDENDUM STICKY has the steps for checking availability in another park without needing to cancel what you’re holding.

Keep your guests in the party and it will let you see what's available.

Instructions for Checking Availability and Refreshing

You don't have to Cancel when checking availability, rebooking a new park, or when park hopping. Simply follow the instructions below.

From the app:
~ tap the "+"
~ select guests
~ select date and new park
~ continue beyond any warnings
~ you won't lose anything if just checking availability. After checking, back out of the window and your original FP+ remain.
~ when you confirm a FP+ for the new park, that's when any original FP+ are replaced.

We went in Sept. and decided last minute to go to MK AH event on a Thursday. The problem was we had our FP park set for MK the following morning. We decided to cancel all our FP's at MK and just switch to HS for the next day at 2am. ha I landed SDD 3 times during the day and we rode RR 3 times along with ToT multiple times as well as SR. In other words don't sweat it too much. You can keep looking periodically and move things around. People will cancel vacations up to 30 days out and others will change their plans or mess up days as well. Just keep working on those two days for the next 50+ days to get what you want and if not, some will likely pop up the day before or the day of. When we dropped the MK at 2am, we gave up a 7DMT, Peter Pan and Space Mountain all at prime times in the morning to early afternoon and made someone very happy.

Everyone thank you so much for your comments! I was able to figure out how to look at what is available, but then I decided... I am just going with what we have We have been to Disney many times... and will go back more... this was just a quick trip to get out of Ohio before school started up again!
