Switch from BWI to OKW/SSR??

Due to an unexpected pet medical bill, I may have to switch our July reservations from BWI to either OKW or SSR. I think our style is much more suited to OKW. However, I have some minor mobility issues and really need an elevator, although, I suppose I could manage one flight of stairs. Any advice or suggestions? Hopefully, I'll still be able to swing BWI even with the unexpected bill.

They have elevators at both, OKW is very limited thought.

I prefer SSR over OKW and BWI. SSR castmembers are friendlier and more knowledgable. The grounds and rooms are better kept. There is elevator access at each building. It is an all around a much quieter more relaxing atmosphere there.
Word of advise. If you are in need of handicape parking, you will need to make them aware of this when you check in. Allthough all buildings have handcap access, not all buildings have handicap parking.

OKW has much larger rooms. Only Bldg 62, 63 and 64 have elevators. You could request a first floor villa.

Thanks for the advice everyone. After redoing our budget a bit, I've decided I may not have to make the switch after all! In addition, the unexpected bill has so far not been as much as I had anticipated. So, all in all, it may work out for BWI. I really hope so since this trip is in celebration of my daughter's 13th birthday; her "dream" resort is the Boarwalk and this is a surprise. At any rate, thanks again for the help. I'll file it away for future reference.

if you are not staying on the weekend (fri or sat) you might consider renting a reservation from a DVC member and staying at BWV.

now the studios only have one queen and a double sleeper sofa plus a kitchennett.
