Switch from a Studio to 1 bedroom??

I'm stuck with making a change to our reservation, my DH and DD(23) have decided that a different resort after our Disney cruise.
So, if you were only at WDW for 3 days would you switch from AKV-Kidani /Studio Savannah view to a 1 bedroom standard at any of the other Resorts?? or stay in a Studio, at a different resort?

I would almost always vote for the 1-bedroom. But if conserving points is important to you, a studio at the Poly Lake View, or a studio at Grand Floridian Villas Std. or Lake View would be my choice.

Studios
Would love to go to VGF Std. or LK view, Have been to Poly LK view and loved it, but thought that maybe the Std. view won't be bad.

1-Bedroom Std.
Limited options are:
AKV : Value or Std.
BLT: Std.
BCV: Std.(not sure due to renovations going on)
BWV : Std.
OKW : Std(stay in before, it was ok)
SSR : Std.( DH doesn't like this resort, I do)

Std View at BWV is GREAT! I would take that one....

I don't know what dates you are talking about but at the 7 month mark it is difficult to get standard view at BLT, value at AKV and if it is the fall impossible at BWV for a standard view. VGF is very hard to book at the 7 month mark no matter what view you choose. Even the owners at VGF are having problems. You might have a better chance with a 1 BR though at any of the above resorts.

If you haven't stayed at BLT or VGF I would definitely try to get a 1BR there. BLT lake view should be available at the 7 month mark.

OKW would be a good studio because you get two real queen sized beds instead of one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa.

My dates are Sept. 26-29,2016 ( I have a reservation at AKV ,in a savanna view)

I'm a DVC member, and I'll be modifying my reservation in Feb through MS.
