Switch from a 2br to a 1br?

We have reservations ... split stay ... for 2 nights at SSR and 2 nights at AKL. We will be traveling with MIL and DS2, DS11months. I see a really good price on flights if I go a day early. But, I dont have enough points to add a 2br for another night... and I dont really want to add a third hotel/room. Would a 1br be enough for ME30, DW27, MIL??, DS2, DS11months or should I just stay with the 2br as we have?

Having stayed in a 1br at SSR on my last trip, there's no way I'd want to do it with a group of that size. I'd stick with the 2br!

I would give AKV Kidani's 1 bedroom a try. It has the sleeper chair, the extra bathroom. If it didn't work, well, then "never again!" but I would try it for the additional night and lower air fare. I would keep the 2 bedroom in SSR.

With a 1 BR you might or night not have to move units but you would have to check out and then check in again. I'd just do the 2 BR, esp if it's a week night.
