SWISS Airlines

We will be flying SWISS to Barcelona via Zurich this summer and I am looking for any feedback on how people like SWISS?

We only have about an hour and 25 minutes in between flights and I am hoping for a smooth connection in Zurich. The airline said we will not go through Customs, just go from one plane to the other, but I am not sure how that works? Perhaps we go through customs in Barcelona?

Anyway, any thoughts on SWISS, reliability, comfort, food, etc., please let me know! Thanks!

I doubt that many here have flown Swiss, especially since they changed a few years ago.

I can't comment on clearance times at point of entry into a Schengen country as I carry an EU passport. Perhaps CarolA can comment as I believe that she is a US citizen and has quite a bit of European travel experience

I have not made any connections in Zurich in years..... However, it seems like it was fairly quick and efficient (hey it is Swiss) Seems like they had an "international" connections area. I was flying to and from Greece and I don't recall going through passport control and/or customs while in the airport. If that's true you should be fine. I know when I flew from France to Zurich a few years ago that they have an area in CDG where you exit France and then clear passport and customs and you are "in Switzerland" (Looked like CDG to me, but.... LOL!)

I have not flown Swiss since they were "revived" from the dead a few years ago.

Most of their flights back to the US require a night's stayover in Zurich, so make sure you're covered for that, if you didn't notice!

Have a great time in Spain. We just came back last week from Southern Spain, had a wonderful time! (We did decide on AA instead of SWISS because of the Zurich stayover.)
