Swinger's Parties at Orlando!!

there is the possibility that the hotel had no clue it was a swingers club..
someone may have booked a block of rooms and the pool area for a party..I don't think hotels ask what type of party...

Then that would let the hotel off of the hook....except for enforcing the appropriate dress rule in the common areas.

CAN the hotel legally disclose who they're accommodating on any given dates/times? Wouldn't privacy laws apply?

They probably thought it was just another holiday party.

Does Disney divulge to other guests that several rooms have been rented to gay's during the gay week at Disney?

This is a really interesting thread. I have been to a swingers convention in Vegas at the Aladdin hotel a few years ago and there was none of this sort of behavior.

The people that belonged to the group were all given yellow wristbands and that was really the only way you'd know that they were part of that gathering. There was no public displays of nudity in the hallways or lobby or lounges or anywhere that we saw. In fact for alot of the parties that take place in Vegas they are actually pretty strict about what goes on there and what is worn.

Maybe Orlando should be the new "adult playground". Sounds like they are more relaxed in what is allowed. :confused3

I still just think this family think they saw more than what they actually saw or more and more people would be talking about this than just one family.

Don't you think that there is a bit of a difference between people partial dressed and showing their hinies in the lobby and a gay couple strolling through the lobby...fully clothed? I don't think the issue here is that there were "swingers" in the hotel (who cares, to each his own)..the issue is in inappropriate behavior and public displays of partial nudity. :confused3

I do agree with you. I just can't imagine that a swingers convention in Vegas was tamer than one in Orlando.

That was a little more info than I care to know about you.

I highly doubt that what this family said they saw is what they actually saw. There are a lot of dresses out there with "nude" colored linings. It sounds more like a couple of adolescent boys wishing they were seeing what they wanted to see. Or an cheapskate father thinking he could get a free vacation at the hotels expense because he was offended.

Frankly, I don't believe most of this story. Too many things don't make sense. And, what's with his comment about Orlando not being Vegas? It's a huge city. They weren't at Disney or Universal. They were at an airport hotel in a big city. Is Orlando automatically supposed to be some kind of "kid safe" place just because a couple of theme parks are located there?

If they wanted a G-rated experience they should have stayed on Disney property.

:rotfl: I was there attending their art show, not as an actual participate in any behind closed doors activities. They have several seminars and art shows and lectures that go on through out the week-end. It's not all fun and games, which is why I'm even more surprised about the incident in Orlando.

I'm talking about the issue wether the hotel should notify guests about other guest that are staying there that they might feel inappropiate.

Thanks for clarifying :)

I think that if they had the "swinger group" booked already and when the soccer group called to book, it would have been more than prudent to say, "We would love to accommodate you, but we do want you to know that we are also hosting the "Hootchie Mama and Papa Swingers Club".

Talk about innapropriate. :rolleyes1

You're right, we do agree.

If that's the issue, then no I don't think the hotel should do that. Who are they to decide which groups need to be warned about? And we don't know that the hotel knew they were swingers for sure. And we also don't know that the swingers had already booked at the time the families booked.

I have a friend who was staying at a hotel for a weekend getaway and the hotel called her the week before to let her know that there was also a swingers convention the same weekend. They gave her the option of cancelling or moving to another hotel if she wanted. They chose to go and said the people were very reserved and if the hotel didn't tell her she would'nt have even knew they were there.

Woo Hoo! Ok soccer moms...toss those minivan keys into the bowl and see who you end up with! :rotfl:
