Swinger's Parties at Orlando!!

Somehow I can't imagine the "Swingers" calling the hotel to book a block of rooms and telling the clerk, "Oh, by the way, we're a group of swingers!" Why would they even want to share that knowledge? No need really and therefore, I have doubts the hotel knew ahead of time just "who" the rooms were for.
They would if they were trying to get a group convention rate. It's no different than what we do at Doctor Who cons..Book whole sections of rooms and then people who are attending tell the hotel what group they are with

5 points to the first person who posts "If I invite four swingers into our DVC studio, are we violating the 4-to-a-room restriction? What if no one actually 'sleeps'?" on the DVC board. Pass the popcorn.

:rotfl2: Don't make a PMSing woman with a headache laugh! I could ask something about the placement of people in the roombut that would not be DIS appropriate.

They "usually" attempt being so discreet. Many times clubs such as these have names (generic sounding to public) and I can see asking for a discounted rate because you're with the... let's say, "Full Moon Club". No one would have to know what the club "rules" are or how they're enforced! :rotfl: Actually, DH and I know a bit more about this than we EVER wanted to know. One of the other engineers DH works with belongs to one of the swinging clubs here in Central FL and he's told us ALLLLL about this mess!

As long as they don't all share the same REFILLABLE MUG, they're OK. ;)

There was a school shooting in my city and I can't believe this swingers incident is national news. Nothing about the school shooting.

Our local Fox "news" report last night showcased this story under the title "Dirty Disney".

What the heck does Disney have to do with this? I fired off an angry email to the station and let them know how I felt that they were misrepresenting the facts of the story. I don't know why I was watching Fox news. Or why they even bother calling it news.

omg...I can't believe I missed this thread yesterday. This is hysterical. :rotfl:

I have some good friends who are in this sort of lifestyle. They brought me to their club as a guest once. Outside of the club, you would have never known what was going on inside.

When I got inside, I had to sign a two-page disclaimer that explained acceptable and unacceptable behavior for their club. I also had to agree not to photograph anything. :rotfl:

The inside was almost nearly like a regular bar other than a few people who wore skimpy clothing. I thought everyone was extremely well-behaved. And if you didn't know the people there, you would have never thought you were in swinger's club.

This doesn't sound like the same sort of behavior. Like in most groups, there are always a few who get out of hand...especially if alcohol is involved. It's the security guard's duty to make sure this kind of stuff doesn't happen.

I'm a soccer mom. And to tell you the truth, I'd much rather spend a weekend in a hotel of swingers--at least they don't run up and down the halls giggling all night long!

From the recently linked article.

"You could've at least offered a side room for the children to spend New Year's Eve together rather than being sent to their rooms, thinking they did something wrong," Young said. "The way we were treated was incredible."

Um, Hello! It was New Years Eve, they were likely booked. More than ever I'm not getting a good feeling about the people complaining. Starting to sound like they were looking for trouble and something back from the hotel.

And I didn't know this detail until I heard this discussed on the radio... Is an airport hotel where you would take a group of kids?

I agree with Cardaway. We're not getting any statements from the hotel. It sounds like they're hearing about this for the first time from these parents. There's no mention of several families being upset by this, only one or two. I would think even some of the other guests would have complained about it as well. I'm guessing there were no "public displays" of anything and the parents are just dreaming this up to get a little attention and a travel voucher.

Is this the hotel in the main Orlando airport? Dont these rooms also over look the main concourse in the airport? Did anyone in the concourse see anything?

Actually I believe some of the story about the windows and the main room. Chances are there was some very skimpy clothes, maybe even some see through dresses. Problem being, skimpy and see through are not illegal. If fact, pretty typical adult party attire.

Once they found out who's party it was they saw a story for themselves.
