I have somehow managed to catch it and need friendly chat for the 5 days i have to stay in this house for :sad2:

Oh man!! Feel better soon. My dd and I both had it in June. She was out of school for 7 days but felt better after about 4. Hope you don't go stir-crazy!

I hope you feel better soon. Keep yourself busy with :happytv: and :surfweb: of course!

I hope you feel better soon. My friend's DD had it the last week of school so she stayed home for the last 7 days. Hope someone is helping you as I see that you have a young son.

yeah i cant have him near me so i wont be able to see him for a while :(
gotta keep eye on him too as i had him friday night i got it yesterday

Hope you feel better soon!

Now you've got lots of time to think about your next Disney vacation, or to watch some disney movies :goodvibes

Yuck!!! I hope you feel better soon and that you don't go stir crazy stuck in your house!!! Well, since you are bored and want to chat, would you mind telling me what your symptoms were at the start of it? I'm wondering if I had it awhile back. I had something that definitely wasn't a cold, but it felt different than flus I have had in the past. I'm just curious because it would be nice to think I have already had it and have at least immunity to one strain now.

sore throat, runny nose, head kinda feels muzzy, achy muscles and hot temp but u feel cold x

Feel better soon! H1N1 decided to visit us this morning, so my son and I are quarantined to our house until he can return to daycare next Monday. I'll be bored right along with you. I'm already going stir crazy!!

wow, that sucks. I'm sorry you're stuck at home! an idea I had was to call the phone booth in the UK in Epcot. I have the numbers packed away since I leave tomorrow, but you can find them somewhere on the boards...or just ask on the theme parks/attractions thread.

Is it really Swine Flu, or Influenza A? My DS and his buddy from camp got it at camp and the friend's mom took him in and he tested positive for Influenza A, and she said the doctor told her it was the "same thing" as Swine Flu. I thought that was incorrect as I thought Swine Flu had stomach issues as well as the other flu symptoms. I guess it doesn't matter - you feel lousy and just have to run its course. Did you get some Tamiflu? That helped me in the spring when I got it, but didn't do much for DS last week - he took a full seven days to recover. Hope you feel better soon! Eat some popsicles - that will help.

Sounds like the typical miserable flu symtoms. I thought mine was weird because it started with a really bad headache combined with me getting completely hoarse and practically losing my voice. It was like it was in my lungs a little from the start. That turned into the chills, achy muscles and a runny nose. I had slight stomach issues too, which is what made me think of swine flu as all the news reports say that is what is unusual about swine. I didn't go to a doctor, so I have no idea what I had. Luckily it didn't last as long as I've had the flu in the past and it wasn't quite as bad. Hopefully yours will go away fast and your son won't catch it.

Swine Flu CAN have stomach symptoms but doesn't have to. When I had swine( and I know it was because I was swabbed), I had aches, chills, swollen glands, sore throat, high fever..like any other annual influenza you would get.It just lasted slightly longer.
