Swimwear restrictions at water parks?

It's our first time to the waterpark so I'm just trying to be prepared. I thought I read somewhere that there are swimwear restrictions at the water parks. In particular, that metal is not allowed. My swimsuit has those strap sliders that make your straps longer or shorter. They are metal. Is this going to be a problem?

I think the rule is that your swimsuit can't have rivets, buckles, or exposed metal on the waterslides. You could come to the park but not on the slides, if the metal is exposed. I am not sure if this is the official rule or how strictly it is enforced.

I think that you'd be fine with that. I did have a bikini bottom with a huge buckle on the front. I wouldn't wear that there. But something so small you shouldn't have an issue

I used to have a bikini that had noticeable buckle details on it and I never had a problem being in the park or going on the slides. I think they are meaning things like spikes or anything that that could "harm" someone

I was just at Typhoon Lagoon on Friday and can confirm that there were signs outside the Storm Slides, Gangplank Falls, Keelhaul Falls, and Mayday Falls that stated this. I don't know how strictly it is enforced, but it is clearly posted outside each of these rides.

Not to hijack your thread, but do you think its ok to wear a t-shirt over your bathing suit on these slides? Does it slow you down too much? My older niece hates wearing her suit and always wears long t-shirt over it.

Or harm the slide.

The buckles are tiny and should scrape anything, but it's really my only bathing suit and I don't really want to go buy another one just for the water parks.

I also need to know this, and since the post heading was "Swimwear Restrictions" I don't think its hijacking the thread. DH and I would both be more comfortable with Tshirts on over our suits Is this ok?

I don't think they are concerned about smooth metal such as you are describing. The rules are to prevent anyone from wearing a swimsuit with metal edges that could be considered to be harmful to the slides (ie-a bathing suit with a studded metal belt on it).

All my trunks have metal grommets in them - hard to find trunks without them these days. Nobody has ever said a word to me at any waterpark.
