I need a new bathing suit and since I am in Italy I can only shop online. Any website recommendations would be appreciated.

TIA

What about speedo, Lands End, or LL Bean? These would be dependable suits that you can really swim in. A little bit expensive, though.

What type are you looking for?:D

Check out www.northshoreswimwear.com

They are based in Hawaii, and have great two-piece mix and match styles to choose from. They also do some one piece styles.

I love Lands End suits. Their tankinis are really nice and also flattering. On their website they show you the best suits for your figure. Also check out their overstock section. I've had great luck finding stuff there.

OMG! LOL. What a coincidence. I was just on landsend.com making my virtual model. You plug in you body shape, weight, height, etc. and you get a model of yourself which you can try on different swimsuits. I'm looking at the faille tankini top and faille skirt with slits on the sides in a plum-type color. Watch out. It's addictive.

I am looking for a one piece suit. I used to be a lot larger *GASP* I can't believe I am going to say this, a (size 22/24) and I am now a 12/14. So I don't want anything too revealing, but something nice. I don't mind paying $100 if the suit will look good.

Thanks for the ideas, keep 'em coming.

I bought a suit through landsend this year. I was nervous buying without being able to see it and try it on. The suit came and it's great. I love how they break down every feature for you and the virtual model is fantastic.

I also am a Lands End lover. I have about 3 of their swimsuits and they fit so nice. I've also bought my daughter a few, too. They last through many, many washings too. Have fun shopping!!:sunny:

How do the LE swimsuits run? Are they pretty true to size or do they run bigger?

Don't worry about coverage with the Lands End tankini. I was worried about the coverage as well since my problem spot is my abdomen. I friend ordered one and assurred me it covered completely. I was pleasantly surprised that it did and actually looked more slimming than a 1 piece. Plus it makes the whole bathroom thing that much easier. I did find that like most Lands End stuff the suits run a little big. If you're more 12 than 14 I'd get a 10-12. Good luck with whatever you decide and congratulations on your weight loss.

Lands End! And they are very true to size. I was so excited to buy a size 10 bottom when the last suit I bought in the store was a 14!

Congratulations on your weight loss! Here's another site that you might want to try:

http://www.jantzen.com

I've purchased several suits from here, and they've looked great and worn well.

Girlfriend be proud of your weight loss. You feel good about yourself right? You feel as if you look good right? Then show off your new body in a beautiful tankini. The suit will not make you look good, you will make the suit good! Happy shopping!!!

I ordered a "boy-leg" tropical print swimsuit from this company last year:

www.blair.com

And I was very pleased with it. So much so, that I plan to buy another in a different print this year.

The "boy-leg" style is very flattering on me. The suit looked almost like a nice short set.

congrats on your loss! :)

another vote for land's end. i really like their suits. :)

Another vote for Lands End. I just got a new one piece tank suit there that made my DH go "Whoa! That's nice"!!!!!:earseek:

They run true to size, and the prices, while not really cheap, are not outrageous either. Probably middle-of-the-road, I would sya.

The Lands End virtual model has got to be one of the best inventions! That is so cool - and scary :hyper:
