Hi

I hope I am posting in the right section, we are going to euro disney at the begining of feb, I am travelling with twins and Im staying at the santa fe hotel. My daughter has behavioural problems and food allergies so Im afraid I have a few questions.
We booked with friends who thought that this hotel has a swimming pool, which we now know it doesnt, my daughter loves her swimming and we are unsure how she will cope with the resort. We thought that swimming in the afternoon might give her a bit of a break from the park environment, does anyone know if you are able to pay a fee and swim in any of the other hotels swimming pools.
Also food wise, my daughter is not aloud any gluten or dairy, I have some travel cards in french advising resturants about this, but will I beable to take her own snacks into the park itself as I expect she will be fairly limited to chips etc for evening meals so do not want this to be her only choice all day.
Lastly we are travelling by eurostar, am I able to take her cereal, biscuits, milk etc through to france or are they strict at customs. We booked through a travel agent who doesnt seem to be to helpful now she has had the money. Although the hotel say they will cater for her diet, I fear they might just do her fruit which will not keep her at the age of five going for long so I need to take some extra supplies.
Sorry for the all the questions but the very last one I promise, Im a fairly nervous person who knows no french, do most of the staff understand some english, Im happy to try and give it a bash but this is one thing I am worried about when explaining her problems.

Many thanks again

Hi and welcome.

Unfortunatly you are not allowed to use any pools in any other hotels.

There will be no problem taking snacks into the park.

Ive never travelled by Eurostar but I dont think there will be a problem taking food into France. We go by Eurotunnel and take food in the car.

Something else that may help is getting a letter from your Dr explaining your daughters condition and if you take it to City Hall (just inside the main park) you may be able to get a pass to avoid having to queue for rides. This may help your daughter a lot especially if it is crowded.

Most CMs speak some English so dont worry about this aspect.

We have travelled to Disneyland Paris with my best friend who has to follow a gluten free diet. When we made our meal reservations we explained my friends dietry needs and they accomodated them very well. At the table service restaurants someone (who spoke English) would come to speak to my friend when we ordered the food to make sure she could eat what she was ordering.

We have travelled once by Eurostar (March 2007) and took plenty of snacks on to the train at Ashford. All the other times we have driven so the car is fully packed of different food/drinks.

Our eldest daughter (7) has recently been placed on a dairy free diet and this made our decision to stay at DCR in March 2008 for us as we will have a fridge for her milk and butter substitute as we felt from memory that staying at the NY and DLH previously that the breakfasts only catered for normal diets. However you don't actually ever take any notice of dairy free etc until you need to.

Hi ladysparklexx and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

As others have stated you'll not be able to use the other hotel pools. I wonder if it might be worthwhile for you to upgrade to Sequoia Lodge ? :)
