Just a tad crowded~!!!

A heatwave has blasted many parts of China with temperatures reaching a sweltering 40 degrees.

There was barely enough room to tread water as thousands of swimmers crowded into a pool in an attempt to escape China's scorching heatwave.

But the fact there was no elbow room was not going to stop the fun in the world's most populous nation.

Families desperate to escape the heat grabbed their rubber rings to jostle for space at a local pool in Nanjing, the capital of the Jiangsu Province.

A giant toilet bowl. No Thanks

How in the world can it possibly be safe to have that many people packed into a pool? Your kid could be lying on the pool bottom and no one would be able to see them!!! No thanks. I'll just run through the sprinkler!

It reminds me of a Star Trek episode of a planet where they abducted Kirk because they had so many people, they were just milling about. :lmao:

Love the plaid swim caps!

Great comparison! Of course Kirk had to meet up with the beautiful woman!:happytv:

Looks like the pics are a bit staged. Look at the edges of the pictures and all the empty water you can see.

Maybe the Publisher's Clearinghouse sweepstake ticket was dropped into the center of the pool and they are all chasing after it. :grouphug:

I'd be right in there with them. Heck, I wouldn't have even taken the time to put on a bathing cap.

Possibly...unless that is where the water gets deeper...

in any case... you would not catch me in any body of water that crowded....:scared1:

It is very hot in China right now. I was there for 10 days from June 18-June 28th and there were a few days that my exchange students father wouldn't let us out of the apartment due to the heat. Although there was no pool or waterpark there in her city (there used to be though, and I couldn't imagine going there with as many people that live in her city). But when we went to the theater and it was a really hot day, on our way out that night after watching the movie on the fountain we went and played in the fountains out front, very cool and refreshing!

They don't seem to be worried about Typhoon Lagoon type inappropriate behavior or touching.
