Last January, DH was the ONLY person in the AKL pool around 11pm one night. Steam was rising off the water it was so chilly out (the water IS heated)

Check out the weather though...it's been pretty warm down there! I'd say it's doable! :)

I say not only NO but HELL NO, but every time I say that I go past the pool and there seems to be about 30-40 people swimming in the pools.

Here is is Jan 4th and its 72 outside and suppose to get to 75. So bring your suits they dont take up that much room.

SeeDisney,
The pools are heated lets just hope for some warm weather so we will actually want to go swimming

If the weather holds up(currently high 70's, low 80's during the day), then sure why not. However, winter weather in Orlando varies day to day. It can be as cold as the high 40's, low 50's during the day. So check out the weather channel and other weather sources constantly. If you have a longer stay you will probably hit both kinds of weather.

:Pinkbounc We were down at BWV from 12/28-1/3, were plenty of people in the resort pools. We hit the pool and hot tub on our last nite, the water was heated higher than we have ever felt at a Disney pool.

we were at the cr at the end of oct and the pool was freezing then. It was supposed to be heated but i didnt feel any heat. My ds on the other hand didnt care. Maybe they crank up the heat when it gets colder outside. i would pack the suits anyway and you can decide for yourself what cold is lol ! the water mice are fun if you want to get a taste of water!! :boat:

Last year we were there the last week of January and the first week of February. the boys swam 4 or 5 days, and were in their winter coats for 3 or 4 days! We are def. planning on swimming this year if possible!

Just back from BCV SAB is heated, had a tough time getting my DS 8 out of the pool ,,, Even to go to the parks.
Yes bring you suit. And the Hot Tub is a great way to Relax the leg muscles after a day in the park. :cool1:

My kids did SAB in Dec. though they stayed in the pool until it was time to leave. We go back in Feb. and I'll take the suits again.

If the weather is like it is this week, yes, swimming will definitely be an option. The temps during the day are 79 degrees :cool1: All of the pools and the water in the water parks are heated at a comfortable 82 degrees... when I stayed at Wilderness Lodge, for some reason the water in that pool didn't feel as warm.

Hope the weather is nice and warm for you!:)

HA... just let my kids get within 50 miles of a pool they are allowed to swim in.. it'll be 50 degrees and my 4 year old will be splashing away.

It does feel SO good to hit the pool after a long day in the park.

mmmmmm a frosty adult beverage in my hand.. kids blissfully engaged in a wonderfully themed pool. YAHOOOOOO!

According to Weather Channel it 80 degrees today so i say very doable.

We rented a house with a heated pool from 12/29 - 1/4. It was in the 70's everyday. We swam everynight and it was not cold at all.

For anybody who lives up north if the weather is in the 70's it's warm. We will be down there for four day's in two weeks. I will bring my suit and you bet by DH will too. He's even said he's only bring shorts to wear. I will bring one pair of pants, but mostly capri's to wear during the day.

The pools are heated, almost feel like bath water. However, the air outside may not feel like your bathroom. Bring warm clothes to put on after swimming for just in case.
