Hi all!

We are so excited we are booked for late November at the Art of Animation. We are thrilled to get to see Disney in all its Christmas glory for the first time but a little worried we are not going to be able to swim, are the pools heated? I've been looking at past temperatures for November and it looks like it can be anywhere from the low 70's to upper 80's-- thoughts??

Thanks!!

Can't wait to hear the replies. We are travelling Nov 16-23, 2013. The kids ( well us to!) would love to be able to swim on the days that we are going to just relax at the resort or in the evenings after the parks.

I've been down there before in October, November, and December. And swimming is not bad. The pools are heated and it's not that cold out at night. There was a few nights in the one year we went and it dropped down to 32 degrees. Bit other than that..it's fine

For years we traveled the week after Thanksgiving and we would swim. It's not like July and you just can't wait to get into that water, but when you're from Minnesota it's fun to swim during our winter.

We swam every day when we went in Nov. 2010. Temps were around 80 degrees. Since that is the normal summer temp here in Michigan, it definitely wasn't too cold for us. We're hoping for more of the same this November!

Disney heats all its pools to 80 degrees. You will have a great time. We've been many times in November - February. We love that time because the crowds at the pool are smaller. One thing to keep in mind is that you do have to walk from the pool to your room... You may want to bring a wrap if it is chilly in the evening because while pool is heated the walkway isn't.

I have been twice in December and will be going in November this year. Both December trips were hit or miss...weather changes like crazy...and while they do heat their pools, that is not enough for me. It they heat to 80 or 82(82 is what I had been told), that's just not all that warm. I have a pool, and 82 is kind of my borderline, have to really want to swim to take the plunge, kind of temp. But that's just me...I think kids can tolerate it a little more because theybare usually pretty active once in the water. I always bring my swimsuit, because you never know what the weather will bring, but I don't plan on swimming being a major part of my trip...just in case it is too chilly.

Went mid November 2011 and the weather was beautiful all week. Was actually warmer than the previous April. We went swimming everyday. It was my favorite trip last November with the nice weather and Christmas decorations, so were going again this year!

From a former resident of FL, and a multiple visitor (maybe 30 times?) It would be wise to bring the suits...
BUT>>>
November is variable. Cloudy days can be cold. (high 60-70) Sun can bake you! (80-90).

2 years back it was COLD in November, the pools at the POLY and GF are on the water and have a good breeze. That did NOT stop our kids from wanting to ride that volcano slide...but I went in and got out in about 10 minutes.

We met many people from the north who thought the weather was great for swimming. It was too cold for our NC blood. If your lucky you will get a real hot day.
Maybe 7 days of them.....
