Swimming in Late October Okay?

The kids swim in January, although that's a little too chilly for me. We still use the hot tub. October is still summer.

We've never been as late in the year as late October, but will be this year. I understand all the resort pools are heated(?) Assuming this is this case, I assume swimming that time of year is fine?

Yes. It might be in the 90s, but if it isn't the pools are heated.

We're Northeners and prefer it to be at least 80 degrees outside to go in the pool. We were there last week of October last year and on many days, the highs were in the upper 80s so it was great pool weather. The year before last, we were about there about 10 days later in early November and some of the daily high temps were in the 60s which was too cold for us for swimming. I don't think that's typical, but it's not a guarantee.

We were there in January for the marathon one year and the temps were 80 degrees plus. It was really too warm for the race.

We were also there for part of that November cold spell. It wasn't the norm on our other November trips. We have usually had maybe a day were hanging at the pool wasn't an option.

My wife and I were able to swim in the Luna pool in early January (during Marathon week). Temp was 75 that day.............it was a blast!

It all depends on the weather............because the water is warm

Of all the months I have been to WDW, October was BY FAR the most hot and humid. (Even over July/August...).

You will be fine.

We swim in the dead of "winter".
