Swimming in December??

We have been to Disney in December before, I remember going in sweatshirts one year and shorts another. So don't get me wrong I realize that the weather is tricky and can change from one day to the next.
But how many of you plan swimming in a december trip??
I don't remember doing it before.
We are going to be there the 1st weekend at Bonnet Creek, I don't even know how well the pools are heated.
Does anyone know about the pools?

The pools are heated and are great. So pack your suits and see if mother nature cooperates. It could be 72 or 52.

I usually just use the hot tub in Dec. I know that the temps vary, but to me it is still too cold. Now for the kids, that's a different story! lol

I was just wondering if the Windsor Hills clubhouse pool will be warm enough for us to swim in. I read it's heated but I don't know how comfortable it really would be.

I've been three times in December. Twice it was too cold to swim. The third time it was warm enough.

Heck I'm Canadian. We cut holes in the ice and dive in every January 1st (Polar Bear Swim). Best cure for the morning after the night before! For the rest of the winter, we have places called "Spa's" that cut holes in the ice and charge you $100 for the pleasure of diving in.

For me it's a pleasure to swim any time of the year. March '10 was pretty cold in Orlando, but the water was fine (heater pool). It was the air temperature while running back to the Condo with a thin towel that was cold!

We went in January 2009, and the weather was quite chilly (for a southern girl), with highs in the low 40's. My husband and kids went swimming every night! I sat by the pool with a hat, sweater, and hot chocolate. The water temperature was nice, but the walk back to the room was no fun!

We swam last trip...the pools were great!! The kiddy pool got a little chilly after the sun went down but that was just because we weren't under the water as much as we were in the big pool.
