Swimming in December?

My family stayed at the Sports Resort in December of 07 and I was the bright one who said we didn't need shorts...well that was a horrible decision...We will be staying at the Sports Resort again this December...we will definately have shorts and swim suits this time...Who all has been to WDW during December and swam? How was it?

We went this past December and swam every day. It was a little chilly going from the pool to the room but otherwise was a lot of fun.

If I am not mistaken, and I could well be, all the pools and water parks are heated. It would just be the trip from the pool that might be a little chilly. We will be there at the end of December as well. Have a great trip!

Been during December, and did NOt swim, too chilly for us. We're from NE and we like to swim in the SUN, so no biggie for the weekend Disney getaway!

There were others swimming and there were also Lifeguards at AKL that were in RED SNOWSUITS, hysterical does not describe the scene, it was NOT that cold !

We go late November/first of December and always swim right up till midnight when the pool closed (also at ASSports). It can be chilly going back to the room, but the water was great!

We were just at WDW this December (7-12th) and we swam the first few days of our trip -- temps. were in the 70's - 80's.

Now watch it be real cold this year during our trip!

We went 2nd week of Dec last year and it was AWESOME! We had above 80F the whole time. But the night we flew in was COLD. Now, we are from New Brunswick Canada. North East of Maine. We KNOW cold. We had hoodies and jeans on that evening. Apparently the week before we arrived was pretty cool. Im going to guess about 60F. But the weather the rest of the week was GREAT! My kids swam in the toddler pool while CHristmas music was playing. It was HIGHLY STRANGE to us. But very neat at the same time. I say, swim away!
We are going right after your guys' Thanksgiving to Carribean Beach and they have awesome pools, so it better be nice that way!

We went December 2007 also - actually from 28 Nov to 26 December. And we swam a lot....incuding Christmas Day. I couldn't believe how great the weather was for winter.

I have been in Dec where we were in shorts and swimming, and I have been when we were in coats and gloves...weather is wild in December
