We are staying at saratoga and wondered what time you are allowed to use the pools until please? ............ we were thinking that if we had been out for the day we might want to have a swim around 9ish or later ... is that allowed?:goodvibes

Definitely 9pm will be OK. :)

I'm pretty certain AKL's pool was 24 hour.

I believe the pools close around 11 or midnight. Quite often there is no lifeguard after a certain time (8 or 9 maybe?)

Brill thanks, was wondering, as I have read some resorts do the "cinema" by the pool :goodvibes

Ssr and most of the deluxes show a film by the pool/beach, I think they are only on select nights though.

Most of the resorts have more than one pool - one themed pool and one or more non-themed pools. When they have evening cinema, it's usually at the main pool.

Great thanks ... just thinking it would be nice to go back after a long hard day:lmao: and have a swim - ok cool down then. The kids would love the fact they could watch a movie as well

When we stayed at AKL August 2008 the pool was 24 hours, I posted this info a few month ago but was corrected, told they had now close thru the night.

Makes sense. I'd be pretty peed off in a pool view room is people were making noise in the pool at 3am.

We went down on our first morning at 5am and it was amazing, :) We had a little paddle in the zero entry bit.

We were in CSR's main pool until 1.30am one night. It's in a good location there as it's set back from the rooms and is surrounded by trees.

Can't beat a good old paddle after a long, hard park day!! When we talk about memories that is one of DDs faves.

We stayed at Music last year and they had a movie night at the pool every evening. Only thing is if you actually want to follow the movie, you are best getting lounge chairs and sitting to watch, as opposed to trying to watch from in the pool as the noise makes it hard to follow.

Lifeguards went off at around 10 pm and advised you that you were swimmning at your own risk. THere were still plenty in the pool by midnight.

Just thought, if you stay on site, are you only allowed to swim at the hotel you are staying in? Or can you use any hotel's outside pool? :goodvibes

Technically, yes, you're only supposed to use the pools at the resort you're staying at. I've never seen or heard of anyone checking IDs though, so you'd probably get away with it if you wanted to swim elsewhere. I'm not suggesting you do this though, as it is frowned upon.

If you ask me it's a lot of effort to go to another resorts pool - they all have water anyway ;)

Just wondered as I know with DLP you can only swim in the hotel you are staying at ... was not sure if this would be the same :goodvibes
