Is there any where within a 1 hour drive from disney that you can swim with the dolphins other than discovery cove?

The only places I know are in the Keys...Dolphin Research Center and Dolphin Encounter and Theatre of the Seas.

Did you check into the Dolphins In Depth Program at Epcot. You don't actually swim with them but you do go into the water and interact with them. It's a great experience.

Yes, but they programs will cost money.

$150/person for the Dolphins in Depth tour, held at the Living Seas, in Epcot. Discounts are available for Annual Passholders, of about 20%. You get to learn about training them, learn how to teach them tricks, and you are in just above your waist in the water with them for about 30 minutes. The price includes a picture with them where they sit on your knee as well. I have not done this, but have heard great things about it, and you need to book 90 days in advance at 1-407-WDW-TOUR. Call early or else you'll miss out like DH and I are! We found out about this program too late! Also, I think you get refreshments and a T-shirt? Not 100% sure on that one though.

There is also Discovery Cove. This place is about $240-$260 depending on the season, per person. YOu get to literally swim with them for half an hour, and you have access to the park all day. The park includes snorkeling in a coral reef with tropical fish, a sting ray area where you can hold them, tropical birds that you can feed, and it's open all day for you from 9:30 am to 5 pm I believe. They also feed you at a buffet, which is always a plus! This sounds phenomenal and I've heard NOTHING but great things. It's part of Sea World, and included in this price is 7 days of admission to Sea World OR Busch Gardens. YOu get to choose. Have a blast!

Does this place have a website? TIA!

Just be clear that the keys are 5-6 hours away from disney...Not the 1 hour you are looking for. I also investigated the disney dolphin encounter and you have to be at least 13 to participate : ( Been dying to go to discovery cove with my family but for 4 of us to go 2 adult 2 kids it is over $1100.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is more than I am paying for my airfare and hotel combined!! I just can't justify it right now.
