Hi All-
Does anyone recollect the aprox. price for a swim suit at WDW?
Can you get them in other places besides the Water Parks?

My Daughter (17) needs one and we are having a heck of a time finding one here before we go. There is one swim suit store at the mall, but the prices are $80.00 and up. If she has to pay that much anyway, she may as well buy one when we get there.....

Have you looked on ebay? You can surely find one cheaper than that on there. Good luck!

I was at the mall last week and the Disney Store had their kids bathing suits marked down to $5.99 each. I got a cute two piece for my 10-year old DD. You will pay a premium at Disney for a suit. I agree with the other poster - ry e-bay or Disneystore.com.

Good luck!

Are you going to the water parks?
There is a store in Typhoon Lagoon, I think its called Typhoon Tilles or something like that. They have the CUTEST bathing suits. They are 60.00-80.00. They are surfer name brands such as Roxy, Billabong and Rip Curl. They have a ton of variety.

If you are not going to TL, I have heard of someone getting a half hour shopping pass. Can anyone confirm this?

Do you have any discount stores (Marshalls/TJ Maxx) near you? They should have suits (probably on clearance at this time of year) for a lot cheaper than you'll pay at Disney

Hi you guys! It's me WDWR, the one who asked if you wanted to meet at MGM for Fantasmic on the 6th. (It's still happening if you finish AK early and don't want to stay for it's extra hours. Dinner is at 5:55pm at 50s diner and then kill time until Fantasmic.)

Anyway..your question. Someone posted in their trip report that they were able to find a bathing suit in the hotel gift shop for around $45 but I can't remember what size the girl was. It was the cheapest they were able to find and they checked Marketplace too. So you MIGHT get lucky when you get down there.

How are you going to find time for a swim or to sunbath? You must be having a much more relaxing trip than me. I don't think I will have the energy to hit the pool at night when I return from the parks. But I will take one just incase. :goodvibes

Have a great trip if I don't see you. Look for my homemade Mickey Heads and my home made sign in my window at Pop Century. (Thank you to my niece for helping)

Thanks for the advice...

I cannot get one off of the internet because she will not buy one without trying it on first, besides we leave in 3 days. (Woo Hoo!)

I have looked in Marshalls, Ross, Fred Meyer, Old Navy and Sears.

Nordstoms has some, but again, they are very expensive. I still am going to try Target, then if they don't have any, she can buy one when we get there.

We are going to Typhoon Lagoon AND Blzzard Berach while we are there.

(staying at POP Century)

Our Walmart has all their girls bathing suits for $5.00 and they have several racks full. Of course this is in Florida, but you still could check yours (assuming you have one).

Dillards has a 75% sale on swimsuits right now. I just got a $114 suit for $28 and a $86 suit for $21. They had some really cute bikinis and tankinis on sale, as well. Most of your department stores should be having bathing suit sales right now, so check them out!

How about checking a local Wal-Mart or Target once you arrive in Orlando?

There is also a shop in DTD. I don't remember the name but they also sell the Roxy, Billabong, etc.. bathing suits. I'd say they run about $60+ just because that's how much they normally run. A bit exorbitant for a swimsuit, if you ask me! Sadly, I'd think any swimsuit you buy at WDW will run you about that much, I could be wrong though!

All of our malls stores here have swim suits 50-75% off, have you tried the finer department stores in your area.

Try jcpenny.com, sears.com, kohls.com you should be able to find her one there. Also..our walmart is full of cute little swimsuits yet.

At disney..the suits are high end and in the $50 on up range..lol, they have them in the resort shops of deluxe hotels for sure. I was able to pick a couple of suits up on clearance at the poly about a year ago..but no guarantee that will ever happen again, as disney really isn't one for marking things down for the public.

My DD (16) forgot her bathing suit last year. We went to a store in DTD I also don't remember the name. They had some suits on sale. The prices where not that bad. You might want to try the Poly, I think there suits were a lot of money not sure. Good luck.

Thanks for all of the suggestions!! :flower:

At least I will know how much we will need to spend if we end up having to buy one when we get there....

I just went bikini shopping yesterday, and though most places in the malls near me have only fall stuff, I did find great sales at PacSun. They had 2 piece suits for $10 a piece, and they were all high quality surfer brands like roxy, raisins and lilu. I was able to find two very cute suits. Macys also had big sales up to 65% off and still had a big selection of one and two piece suits.

Summer Sands at DTD has a bunch of swimsuits. I don't know their price. I doubt that they are cheap.
