I just read on another thread that a lady washes/drys her swim diapers after they have been used. She said once one accidentally got in her laundry & it came out perfect! She has been washing them ever since (unless there is solid waste in it of course). I have not tried this to confirm it though. My dd's swim diaper never seems to be "used " (if you get my drift) & I just throw it away. They are pretty expensive so I am going to try it & see what happens!
We are staying at VWL so we'll have a w/d but I realize most won't so you may not be able to use this tip at WDW, but maybe you can use it at home!
Post if you tried it & it works!

i'm that lady (LOL) and it works on the huggies disposable swim diapers... don't know about any other brand... another option is to just turn them inside out, rinse 'em (under the hose) and stick them on a fence post to dry in the sunshine...

:teeth:

Why don't you just buy a reusable swim diaper? They sell them in some stores (I think I've seen them at Target) and all over the place on the internet. Then you could sell it on ebay when you're finished with that size.

We reuse swim diapers, but we don't wash them in the washing machine. We rinse them out, squeeze them out, and hang them up. SInce we swim every day for a good portion of the year, those things get expensive otherwise!

Please, please be careful about when you reuse them in a public pool. The legs get stretched oput, increasing the risk that fecal matter will escape. We use ours in our own pool, so it's only a risk we're willing to take amongst ourselves. One code brown will close a Florida pool for a minimum of 4 hours.

LOL - that is too funny!

When we were still in that stage, in public pools I always went with a snug reusable cloth swim diaper OVER a disposable one. That way, leaks were not an issue, but I could still quickly change a 'brown' diaper without having to do any washing.
