Anyone have a Swiffer Wet Jet? Do you like it? I'm thinking of getting one, but don't want to waste my money if it's junk.

I like mine- so does my 6 year old son though. It's hard to keep him from wasting the cleaning solution!

It seems to be very flimsy and may not last long. We expect ours to break soon.

Love love love love love ours! We got it last winter and I use it constantly. White linoleum in our kitchen, 15 month old son who likes to throw food. 'nuf said. It doesn't strike me as flimsy at all.

We've had one since they came out and it's been great. We have laminate flooring in 90% of the house so I use it a lot.

I have one and love it. I use the hoover floormate for the major cleaning and the wet jet for touch ups in between.

I think it's the best thing! I don't have much space in my apartment for storing cleaning supplies, so I like the Wet Jet since it doesn't take much room. I think they're all very similar (Swiffer, Clorox, etc), so it shouldn't matter which one you get. But I highly recommend it! Makes cleaning a million times easier!

I love My swifer. I mop my floors everyday, And It is really great for quick clean ups as well.

we have wood laminate flooring - it does a nice job superficially, but I find it difficult to apply pressure on the mop to really "scrub" the floor, if you know what I mean. I find my old squeegee sponge mob with the green scrubber edge did just as good, if not better, job. I do love the convenience of not having to dip into a bucket, rinse the sponge, etc - I can mop more frequently and more quickly with the Swiffer mop.

no batteries and you can use the clorox cleaning stuff or you can put pine sol in it. or just regular bleach

I have the Clorox version, and I really like it. I've had it for over a year now with no breaks. ALL my floors are laminate/wood laminate, so I use it daily. So much easier than mopping!!

I have ceramic tile; so, of course, Swiffer doesn't do a great job on the grout.

But I still think it well worth the cost for easy, convenient, quick, superficial cleaning.

Buys me some time in-between doin' floors the HARD way.

Denise < --- hates cleaning: leans toward the "Tim Taylor Home Improvement" type flooring which would involve high pressure hoses ;)

Thanks for all the feedback! I dry swiffered my kitchen floor and I'm going to buy the wet jet or the Clorox one tomorrow. I have a tiny galley kitchen and this will definitely beat dragging out the bucket and the mop for such a small area. :D

I have the Pledge version and LOVE IT! Works great on tile it is a foaming spray so it really gets in the nukes and crannies!

Before you spend 20 on the wet jet, look for "Swiffer Wet" refills. They go on the same head as the dry cloths you are using now. We find they work better on our laminate then the wet jet. The wet refills have a cleaning solition already in them and it is different from the wet jet solution. I have seen them at Costco, K Mart, Target, etc. I dislike the Wet Jet on my laminate, it leaves a film. The wet refill pads don't. Give that a try and if you don't like them, you can go for the Wet Jet.

I have a white ceramic tiled kitchen, foyer, laundryroom & bathroom on the 1st floor & although I use my mop & water/vinegar solution every weekend to wash my floors, I use the Swiffer every night to make my floor look presentable until the mop & bucket make it out on Saturday's! It's a wonderful mop for quick pick ups & it dries so fast. My floor is not slippery either after "swiffering!" You won't regret buying one, trust me!

I agree with Mickeyfan1. Try the swiffer wet refills. They fit on your dry swiffer, and work really well. :D

I got the Pledge Go Mop because I have hardwood floors.... but It seems to make things really sticky. Maybe I am not using it right, but I am just happier to use the old Pledge Wood Floors solution and mop. I can't find anything that does well on my bathroom ceramic floors and grout but scrubby mop and a lot of work. Blecchh....
