Swell. No AP Value Resort Rate for Me!

After not doing a thing all summer, we went away for 3 days arriving home this morning. As soon as I saw that the AP rates were out, I gave a call only to find out that all the AP rates for value resorts were gone. Got a pretty snippy CM who at first told me they weren't out for the values. When I told her I was chatting with people on line who were getting them, she informed me that SHE was the one who worked for Disney. Then, after being put on hold for a few minutes, she came back and told me that she had been informed that there were no more available.

I'll continue to try and snag an AP rate over the next few days and will watch with interest to see if anyone else on here gets ones after 1 p.m. EDT on 8/29.

BTW, the best I could get for the All Stars was the AAA rate of $94. Bleech!

I would call back. I have called 3 times in the last 2 days, I only got to call at noon yesterday, and was told there was no availability at any of the resorts I wanted during 10/22-26. I called this morning and got some guy who was a total dud. Decided to call back an hour later while waiting for DH to come home and I got 2 days out of the 4 at an AP rate. I am not complaining, this CM was great to tell me I could do this. I will have to check out, check in on the 24th but same room so no changing rooms-only doing paperwork! Don't give up! Lot's of posts on calling back and having success. If you are trying to modify an existing res. than try asking for a whole new one, posters have said this works as well.

I know what you mean about the snippy CM. When I call because I 've seen something on-line, like the Candlelight Processional, or the AP rates, I always try to say it really nice (which I am sure you do too), and say something like, "Not that I'm telling you how to do your job or anything..." Because I have had CM's get kind of defensive if you say you heard it on-line. I look at it like, they probably feel bad underneath it all, because you were telling them something they didn't know.

I agree with winniedapooh that you should call back and keep checking, because I think that lots of people are considering their options now, and people will be cancelling the ressies they do not want.

Keep calling back!

I was in the same boat, called three times before I got someone who was willing to do some searching and found what I needed. As others have said as mor people modify, change, or upgrade more inventory is becoming available. Keep trying I think your persistence will pay off. Best of luck!

You didin't say what dates you needed a value room, but I tried yesterday and didn't get anything, tried again today and was able to get 2 of the 4 nights I needed at the Sports; however, I decided not to take them right now and keep the reservations I have. People are canceling and changing reservations constantly, and will continue to do so, so keep trying every few days or so until you leave. I just cancelled another reservation I had at AKL for 4 days.

You never know when something may open up. And the worst case is that you do not get the AP discount, but remember you are going to be going to DISNEY!!!!!!! And you will have a wonderful time no matter what your room rate is!!!!

I guess I too, will keep trying. I wanted Port Orleans but the code is NO good for Moderates! I am stuck with Sports, and I wanted to arrive on the 6th, but no luck there either!

I had no trouble yesterday getting ASMu in December for the AP rate of $49/night ($54.88 w/tax). Call back and keep calling back until you get what you want.
