I am making my online ADR's and this keeps popping up for California Grill. Has anyone done one of these dinners? If so, what was the difference between it and regular dining besides the commemorative flutes? Was it still available as part of the dining plan?

Thanks!

Bumping this up for you in case someone has done it and can answer. :)

Sorry this is not much help, but in a search kind DISers "Hootch" and "soulmates" posted this about the Artist Point sweetheart dinner, maybe that will at least give you an idea until someone else chimes in:

LOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEDDDD it!! OMG! AMAZING meal. We went last Aug and they gave us personalized menus as a keepsake. We had the Magicale Wine, to DIE FOR!! You get 2 etched Disney wine glasses as well. The meal was outstanding, best one that trip! I had steak and I can't remember what DP had. When our waiter (Izzy) found out this was her 1st time EVER to DW, he gave her Mickey ears, on a silver platter no less, a light up Tink pin & a Princess Certificate!! It was just amazing. We were seated by a window, perfect view. It was really a lovely meal and amazing experience!

Chris

Our total bill, with tax & tip ran around $265, well worth it. We had to pay for the Magicale, which as $38 ;)

I'm sure it will not be on the DDP at those prices :
:cutie:

Thanks, OP -- I booked a Sweetheart Dinner at Artist Point for my wife and I on our 9th anniversary in November... I had never heard of this, and now it sounds like I have something that will be memorable.

FYI: I picked a day in a low-season week and reservations were very hard to come by. Book early if you're interested in this.

I just booked this Sweetheart Dinner for Two at the California Grill on October 16, 2010 which is Sweetest Day. I can hardly wait my husband and I have been apart for a while due to his travel schedule so this is going to be such a special evening. I was told my amount due minus tip would be $181.06. I will be sure to take lots of pictures.
