I am not a huge wine drinker. Have found one I really love (white zinfandel) and mainly stick to that. Can anyone suggest wines I might enjoy based on that when I visit WDW??
Thanks in advance! :)

I second the Rosa Regale! Also, the Inniskillan ice wine in Canada.

At Epcot, go to the Norway kiosk (if they are open). Or to Germany (inside) or France (inside). Tell them what you like and they will suggest something for you.

At Animal Kingdom, go to the Dawa Bar in Africa. Very nice setting for an adult beverage.

You might also like a reisling. It's a sweet German white wine. Ask for a taste at the wine shop at the German pavillion at Epcot.

The Rosa Regale available by the glass or bottle at the gift shop in Italy!

Is that the red sparkeling dessert wine that they serve? If it is the one I am thinking of, then it was wonderful!

off topic but I noticed msteddom was close to DL and wondered if she knew of any website with relatively up to date menus for DL????

and back to the regularly schedule topic......

I also highly recommend the Rosa Regale. We tasted it for the 1st time at the 2005 F&W and everyone in our party enjoyed it. Even my Dad and I didn't think he would, my parents made sure we had some for Thanksgiving after that :teeth: My only disappointment, I never got to the local wine shop to get some for Christmas LOL

In the Weinkellar (I think that's what it's called) at Germany, they have a sparkling wine that they mix with a strawberry puree...YUM.

Plum wine in Japan is one of my faves..

I will try the wine in Italy the next time I go, which is next week.. woohoo!!!!!

Thanks to F&W I found that there were more wines I liked and have become more likely to try new ones when we go out now.

Anyways, I never really paid attention to the Germany wine room, knew they had a tasting but couldn't have cared. Now after F&W and how I keep hearing things about it I will definitely check them out next time AND that Strawberry Sparkler ;) Sounds very yummy.

Try Disneyland Resort Information It seems to do a very good job of keeping things up to date. Also check out the Disneyland board here on the DIS. We are a wealth of information. I go to Disneyland once every week or two so if there is something I can check out for you let me know!

I also had the rosa regale at Le cellier, it was awesome!! Seriously I could have drank a bottle or two. That wouldnt have been pretty since 1 glass makes me giggle and its just downhill from there as I rarely drink. :rotfl2:  I never knew the world showcase was so beautiful or so fun as this trip. I will have my two glasses of rosa before my next tour of the world. DD thought mom was alot of fun that night because I was just silly.

I also stick mostly to white zinfandel-I like the sweet stuff. I think you will like the riesling in Germany also-its nice and sweet.

quick question, so if I buy a bottle of wine will they be ok with me bringing it on the plane back home??

:confused3

Rose Regale is my favorite, we can find it here at World Market, it's been at BJ's, and the ABC Liquor also at Lake Buena Vista. So you may find it at someplace close to you, for less money.

I agree with the Rose Regale. I don't like sweet wine and hated it, but you'll probably like it! Tasted like Nyquil with bubbles tio me! :rotfl2:

Thanks Melissa!!!! I hadn't come across that site yet and a quick look seems like it will be a big help and then you'll probably see me on the Disneyland BBS with more questions as we get closer to Sept :)

I've tried my local World Cost and they haven't had Rosa Regale yet but I'll keep looking. :) We're always in the plaza with the World Cost (Borders location).

I didn't know you could buy it by the glass at the Italy shop!!! You can bet I will be stopping there on the next trip! LOL And we were thinking of Le Cellier in January so you've just made 2 travelers happy with news they have it there LOL

I'm still trying to find a Ice Wine that I like at home. I wasn't thrilled with Innskillin which really really really surprised me. What I liked was the Ice Wine they offered in the F&W Shop by the Wine Tasting Seminars. But I can't get it locally that I have found yet. When I asked for the brand I liked at my local place they recommended Jackson Triggs but I haven't tried it yet. :rolleyes2

Thanks Melissa for the link and Kaytieeldr & budbeerlady for the tips of where to find it in the showcase!!!!

I agree with the Riesling, especially Late Harvest Riesling if you like them sweeter. I had some good ones in Canada during F&W... the winery was Chateau des Charmes. I also had a late harvest riesling at Artist Point in December, but I don't remember the winery. They seem to be generally paired with desserts.

I am also going to highly recommend the Plum Wine in Japan. You can go to Matsunoma Lounge and enjoy a glass while getting a fabulous view of the World Showcase. :)

And although you can't get it at WDW as far as I know if you get the chance you should try an Italian dessert wine called Vin Santo. It is my favorite sweet wine.
