Can I get "real" sweet tea in the parks? Not unsweetened iced tea where you add sugar later.......... :goodvibes

I'm fairly sure you can. My father/brother most often drink sweet tea and I don't recall either of them complaining about not getting. It is Florida, after all.

My son loves sweet tea and drinks a ton of it at home. I am sorry to say that we were unable to find it at most locations on our last trip. He tried using sugar packets, but that is just not the same.

I don't drink it, myself, but my frequent travelmate does - and the only place I remember being able to get it is Trail's End buffet at Fort Wilderness.

As the previous poster stated....it is hard to find but there are a few places with it.

Columbia Harbor House in Magic Kingdom is a counter service place that we often stop in for some.

I am with you :rotfl: I drink sweet tea DAILY!!! Last year that was my biggest complaint. There are very FEW restaurants at Disney that serve sweet tea. Good Luck finding it

Hoop De Doo and Trails end, hmm and I thought Whispering Canyon did - but I think I'm just dreaming that one.

Also - LTT used to have it, but alas it's been a few years since they nixed it.

I've never been able to find it! I must be eating at the wrong places!

No, you can't. We asked several times our last trip and I know for sure these restaurants don't serve it:

Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern
Hollywood and Vine
Mama Melrose's
Princess Storybook
Cape May Cafe
Coral Reef
Le Cellier
Grand Floridian Cafe

One server finally said, "We're too far South to serve sweet tea." I don't know what that meant, but there you have it. Have a great trip, anyway.

Very few places have it...my niece is addicted to sweet tea and I know we were able to get it at Cosmic Rays but the other CS places we had to add sweet n low

I have been over 20 times to Disney and I am a southerner and love my sweet tea and never have been able to find it there.

Well, as soon as you get to North Florida, any farther south you go, you're really going north.....I would say anywhere below Ocala/St. Augustine/possibly Gainesville isn't really a "southern" area.....past those, you start getting snowbirds and people who have relocated from the north.....

You CAN get it at Garden Grill in Epcot!!! I'm a true Southerner & know my sweet tea. When the waitress gave it as an option, I asked her if it was real, fresh-brewed sweet tea. She assured me it was. It was soooo good!! I was not able to get it at Whispering Canyon, though.

definitely is available at ft wilderness campground at trails end buffet. just a
boatride away from mk for a quick lunch, and not too bad a price for a disney buffet:thumbsup2

My DS5 LOVES sweet tea ever since McD started serving it! :rotfl2: We live in NYC and can't get it here, only in the suburbs :rotfl: He was so happy to have sweet tea at the Garden Grill! He asked to dine there TWICE in one week just because of the tea and to eat with Mickey again.

I know it's out there in a few hidden places in WDW, but it's hit or miss. It's not an item that's readily available.

I guess my family was just lucky in getting it! I don't recall everywhere we ate - sorry, I'm not much help!

We southerners are SOOO spoiled, aren't we? I do know it is/was available at Trail's End once upon a time, as it was at LTT (and our server said it was their biggest selling beverage.)

Good luck! I know that WDW used to serve that nasty syrup-based tea, but most everywhere at least brews it now. But there's no replacing that silky-smooth texture and flavor that comes from pure cane sugar hitting hot, freshly brewed tea. It's actually a difficult drink to prepare properly. No one's tea approaches my mamma's.

Thanks everyone!! I am making a list to take with me, so if I can't make it without it, I'll know where to go!!:goodvibes

Sweet Tea is always available at Columbia Harbour House an Cosmic Rays in the Magic Kingdom. It is also available at Trail's End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness.
