Sweet Tea Available?

Lol thank you all for the insight. I now have 6 months to figure out how to break the news to my husband and Georgia boys...

Thankfully I'm from California and am not going to mope much about it, lol.

The McDonalds around here used to have "Mickey D's sweet tea" which was real sweet. I kind of figured they got blasted by the FDA for making all who drink it love it but become a sugar addict. Since, they now just have "sweet Tea" that is about 2/3rds as sweet. I have gotten used to it already. One other thing that McD's is doing thoug, is starting to sell their sweet tea for like $2.29 a gallon out the drive up window. Does anybody know if they are doing that in Florida? If so, a short jaunt to the McDonalds at Crossroads could be worth your while. Wouldn't help in the parks, but might help refresh them when they came back to the room. I seem to recall going to Jungle Jims in Crossroads one time and it was the only real sweet tea I had on the trip.

What a genius. :sad2:

I know the culture more than I did then, but my first thought was that you couldn't get too much more south and still be in the United States, lol.

I'm also from California, originally. My Oklahoma grandma, living in Ca then, taught me the 'proper' way to make sweet tea, lol. I drink mine unsweetened, no lemon.

Even though WDW is technically in the "south", there is really nothing I'd consider "traditional sweet tea" offered anywhere there. When I'm there, I'll ask for an Arnold Palmer (half tea, half lemonade). The results vary widely, since it's mixed by the server. I've had some that was more lemonade, and others that were more tea. But, frankly, I'll live with that instead of their "regular sweetened iced tea".

Good to know. I will bring my own sweet tea from home. Don't think I can last a week without it Lol.

This is what we did. We drive down, so we were able to bring a couple gallons Red Diamond sweet tea with us. This and Milo's are the closest thing to home brewed we've found from a store. It was easier than making my own, washing out a gallon jug, etc, when I already had so much else to take care of right before the trip. No idea if they have them in stores in FL though.

Where are you from? Another Razorback fan here.
