Who else has seen these commercials? I've only seen them on ABC Family but it's a commercial basically endorsing High Fructose Corn Syrup. The only good things they say about it is that it's made from corn, has the same number of calories as sugar, and is good in moderation. That goes for anything you eat. The commercials just annoy me.

Here's the website http://www.sweetsurprise.com/

I think it's a bunch of crap.

what in the heck is that??

je ne comprend pas!

I think it's sarcasm!

ETA: Nevermind. These people are just crazy. Sure, it has the same amount of calories, but more of them are empty than in table sugar. Also, your body processes and digests sugar much better than HFCS.

The first time I saw the commercial I laughed and was like "are you kidding me?!" they're saying that HFCS is good for you now? While the world knows it's bad.

Well that was a sweet surprise.

I've never seen those commercials.
But they're seriously bugging.

i've only see them on abc family and that's like the top channel i watch and so i see it every day.

"you know what they say about hfcs........ um er uh"

hah funny story. I'm allergic to high fructose corn syrup. Well its not an acutal "allergy" but my body doesn't digest it. My digestive system doesn't process it and it does the same thing as it does with my milk allergy [[makes me very sick and swells up my stomach to the point where i am doubled over on the couch, the short version, it's not pretty]] So much for HFCS being good for you...yeahh righht.

Technically all they are saying is true. It has the same nutritional values as sugar and its natural too. They didn't say really any lies about it. IMHO i'd rather have real sugar or honey anyday...but HFCS is in lots of stuff and almost impossible to avoid.

Actually it's not that hard, I haven't eaten anything with it in 6 months.

I hate these commercials! There is no way that syrupy goop can possibly be good for you!

It's opposite of the commercal with the kids in the school play about fruit saying what's good for you and then the little kid in this brown goupy costume saying. "I'm High Fructose Corn Syrup, and I've been chemically altered."

I LOVE this commercial!!!

so i was wrong on the natural thing...it is natural but part of it is altered. They take corn syrup which is from corn...And then put it under some weird process to up the fructose content. Then it is mixed with 100% corn syrup.

eh well its in all fruit juice for the most part That's actually just fructose, not high fructose corn syrup. There is a difference...
coke ,which I drink to get rid of migraines Luckily I don't drink soda, but if I ever crave it's carbonated goodness there is always Jones, which is sweetened with cane syrup
starbucks fraps (canned kind i imagine) Nope, I drink those and they're sweetened with sugar
wonderbread Potato bread doesn't have it!
pretty much any kellogs cereal Bran flakes/ cracklin oat bran/ honey nut cheerios/ froot loops (although those have hydraganated oil so I dun eat em)/ honey bunches of oats do not
ketchup Del Monte ketchup doesn't
miracle whip Ready whip is better anyway =P
pop tarts Ew =[
cough syrup Didn't know that!
yoplait yougurt But organic stonyfield yogurt is so much better
and ben & jerry's or dryers ice cream. Neither have it. Edit: Sorry I thought Dreyer's was a typo for Breyers. I've enver heard of Dreyers.
and lunchables Ew

I'm sorry, you are correct :thumbsup2

But I didn't even know they sold bottled strawberry flavored fraps, I've only ever seen coffee/mocha/vanilla flavors, and those do not have it.
