SWEET SIXTEEN :Have they been kissed? PTR: Updated 8/15

Looks like you have a great day planned! We like all three of your CS choices but CHH is our favorite! My DD is 7 so I don't have much advice for you on teenage girl gifts. Maybe search the internet for charms?

Great plans for MK! For lunch, I'm partial to CHH but not so sure 16 year olds wouldn't just as rather eat at Ray's. We've not yet tried Pinocchio House. It's on our list for next time!

I hope Judy and the girls enjoy their evening in the park and you and Kyle get some good pool time!

30 day to WDW:banana::dance3::cool1::cheer2::yay:

Your plans for The twins birthday look great, don't forget to get birthday pins, The fairy godmother is at CRT at dinner she will ask if anyone is celebrating anything special. she made a big deal of Kylie engagement when we where there in 2006 maybe you could get a special picture of the family after dinner in the rose garden ( by the photo pass people)

Take care
Grace

nice comfy tennis shoes for the park days, i go with new balance always have liked them for strolling.

and for water parks or lounging with not alot of walkingi i wear sandals that have a good amoutn of support/squishy stuff on the bottom so my feet dont hurt walking in those.
:thumbsup2

They are expensive but my DH and DD have done great in and love their Keens! Throw in sneakers a day or two for a change of pace and you are good to go.

I've been getting some from Lands End. They are lightweight (compared to the Reeboks I used to always have), and the ones I get have kind of a "mesh" upper to the shoe. They also have the bungee cord instead of laces. This year I also added a pair of water sandals from there to the inventory. Will probably wind up just wearing them as sandals part of the time. They are stretchy, and the way my feet swell up down there, these will "grow" with my feet on those bad days :rolleyes1

She doesn't want sneakers as thinks it will be too hot !!!

Thanks for all the ideas !!

If it's Aug 22nd I'm supposed to be in Phoenix!

What a great birthday for the girls! I've heard good things about Pinocchio's from another DISer - you can sit and watch IASW boats launch I guess.

We always like Cosmic Rays - good variety and lots of seating.

I still love my crocs, but you have to have a few pairs of shoes to trade off in or your feet start to hurt and you get blisters. The Keens are at better shoe stores - my grandkids have them - they are great all around sandals or water shoes with supportive bottoms on them - built really well.

i have ones like these, they are crocs, i got them on clearance and they are very comfy, i can wear them all day, because they have that extra squishy stuff for padding under them...not thin like normal sandals.
:thumbsup2

Here you get them at higher end shoe stores like Tammie said. You can also get them online (maybe cheaper) but I would go to a store and try them on first. They are pricey but can be bought a little big so my DD has had the same pair for well over a year and they still fit (which is shocking at her age - she typically outgrows shoes in a few months). They are great for water or just walking. I would have another pair of shoes that I could alternate with if needed. I think adult Keens are about $50-$100 (depending on style) and Kids are $35-$50. Zappos.com does free shipping to you and back if they don't fit if you need to order online.

Hi Rosie,

I've been a long time lurker. :goodvibes I wanted to make a comment on Keen's shoes! I love the pair I have, walked all over Europe with them and NEVER had sore tired feet. I would find a place to try them on because some styles tend to run a bit small in the size you need and then you would have to order a half size larger.

I found my Keen's at Gander Mountain and I know REI and I think it's called The Walking Store sells them. Once you find the style you want I would look at Ebay, I got a few pair of Keen's this way and at much cheaper prices.

Hope this helps. :)

Well, you KNOW I love my Sanuks and my Crocs.

Oh yeah!!! When we saw each other on the weekend, I had wanted to show you my Sanuks and how comfy they feel!!!

Hi Rosie!
I am a big fan of Sketchers Tone-ups- no blisters, even when I walked from DHS to Spaceship Earth!! :thumbsup2

I'll have to use that :rotfl2:cuz Rosie don't know how to post a link:lmao::lmao:

I told Judy there were lots of ideas for sandals /shoes and she p[lans to check them out this week end timew permitting !!

Steph's new ($450) glasses are in and Judy thinks she can pick them up without Steph who is working!!! I said go ahead :lmao::lmao:

Poor Samantha has had a sore throat for a couple of days and last night she showed me :scared1::scared1:OMG swollen tonsils white stuff all over them and her throat. Took her to doctor , it is either tonsilitis or MONO!!!! and Marv this time NOT the rail:scared1::scared1:The bloodwork should be in tomorrow to see whether it is MONO !!!:scared1:
