When looking at past navigators, I see pool patrol times listed and I know there are the sign up experiences. There is also a line about watching decks 3, 4, and 5.

Does that mean some characters will be out all the time? Or is it totally random?

For past cruisers, any tips?

Also, are there any chances to get pictures with Star Wars Mickey and the gang?

During the day, Storm troopers and Imperial officers would roam around the ship. Also characters from Rebels would be walking around. Jawas too (they scare me ) Never saw any Mickey or other characters dressed up in Star Wars outfits.

There is also a "secret" mini show in the Atrium the night before SWDAS- Imperial characters only. I was told the Disney characters do not dress for the SWDAS theme.

Who are the Imperial characters? Sorry, I am not a big Star Wars fan, but my children are! Also, is the secret in the Navigator? How would we find out about what time it will occur? Do you meet them or are they just walking around?

The ship is overtaken by the Dark Side at 10:15 to 10:30 PM in the Atrium Deck 3. Well, the storm troopers appear on Deck 4 on the balcony in front of the gallery and then take the elevators down to the Atrium where they mix and mingle for a few minutes. There is a Captain Phasma that unwinds the story and what to expect from Darth Vader and the Rebels the next day.

Jawas, Boba Fett, 2 Storm Troopers, some Rebels, a couple of others notable characters who I don't know the name of. (My son will be so embarrased that I admitted that)
Meet and Greet options are chosen by placing your top 3 choices in a box at GS and getting meet and greet tickets for 2 of those choices. For example, Dark Side is a meet and greet with Darth Vader. Companions is with R2D2 and C3PO OR Chewie. Then there is the meet and greet option with the Clone characters, a Jedi training option for those ages 3 to 12 and I cannot remember the other one. My son and husband got their first 2 picks of Darth Vader and ended up getting photos with R2D2 and C3PO and then also with Chewie who liked that Danny (my son) was dressed like him. I will try to find pictures if that helps.
The Pool Patrols happen 2 times a day. 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM. The Storm Troopers are constantly walking around the ship as are the other characters I mentioned. Lots of photo ops!

I know DD will want Jedi training as her #1 option so I'm really hoping we get lucky with that. She'd be happy with any of those character meets.
