SWAS- Summer Fare Sale??

HI, Anybody else waiting for SWA to have a SUMMER SALE?? I am looking for PVD to MCO June 28th or 29th returning on July 8th or 9th. I am TRYING to be a LITTLE flexible. I am pretty sure that LAST year they did have a SUMMER SALE, but I think it was pretty early in the SPRING?? So who else is looking for SUMMER airfare?? Joan

At the current $158+fees each way per person from Hartford, I'm just. Got some time, trip's in mid-late August.

IMO, the last 2 weeks/10 days in June & same for 1st week of July; never seem to get any deals due to their 'holiday designation'.

Many blackout dates for redemptions/promos too - seems to become more exlusive each year.

Ran into the same trouble the weekend before Presidents day & Columbus Day too.

Hopefully, they'll release some summer fare SP soon.

We got $135. round trip from Manchester, nh to MCO. We booked when the rates came out on 2/8, we will be going 6/20-6/27.

The last couple of years they've started a summer sale in late March/early April. Just keep checking daily.

Didn't want anyone thinking that you lost out on a great fare if you didn't buy on opening day, as it certainly depends on your dates and airports. In our case, we're trying to fly Aug 12-21st Hartford-Orlando-Hartford and I checked the day they came out and it was $158 each way. There's been no change from that, still $158 each way, but am optimistic that it'll drop.

Yes they do come out with some lower fares as it gets closer to the summer. We just didn't want to take the chance. Always check your dings, you never know.

I agree, I would have JUMPED at the rate you got on 2/8, even if it goes down. Hartford in August just didn't get a good opening rate on 2/8.

I was looking the day they came out for either Providence, Hartford or Manchester. The only cheap one I saw was Manchester. I did not have time to buy the tickets right then and when I got back a few hours later the price had jumped and has never come down. I never saw prices lower than $148 and $158 for Providence and Hartford. I am certainly hoping for a summer sale. Our dates are July 29 throught August 10.
