Swapping magic bands or tickets ok for Genie+ ?

Planning a trip with 2 adults 2 teens. One kid is much more cautious about rides. If we have a genie+ for a ride and decides not to ride at the last minute, could one parent ride with the other kid then the other parent with that kid using his brother's pass to ride twice? Or is that against the rules?

Thanks all! I figured that if we had paid for four genie+, booked four lightning lanes, and use four lightning lanes we should be ok but wasn't sure if your finger prints or ID was tied to your ticket.

They are, but you don't use your finger print at the ride queues, only to enter the park. Finger scanning is only done to enter the park to discourage people from using each other's tickets.

Yup - as long as - as others have noted, you have actually entered the park.

We do this allll the time. My family jokes about me rope dropping people mover, Starbucks, Joffrey’s, etc. I don’t ride most of the ILL$ rides, and few of the bigger rides. My girls ride the second time with my magic band (and Dh’s if he’s up and in the parks),it’s just easier to keep us all on the same schedule.
